Bed was extremely hard. The radiator in the room was clicking all night long therefore we had as little as two hours sleep. Not what you want for a break Also room was very small not even enough room for toilet bags in the bathroom

food tray lying corridor on arrival in afternoon and still there the next morning. lack of staff at breakfast time meant slow progress. Breakfast food over cooked.

The hole stay was so nice and relaxing

we booked the hotel mainly for the spa facilities only to find the whole of the afternoon of our stay the pool was being used for children’s swimming lessons and was asked just to stay in the deep end of the pool , not as relaxing as we had hoped . Also when we arrived we decided to have sandwiches before we used the spa , my wife had an appointment at 3pm which she only just made as our sandwiches and drinks took 1hr 15 mins to be served

paid for room in main hotel and got put onto one on the edge of hotel complex even though I paid for the room to be inside main building as otherwise i would’ve saved myself money for booking the other one

The whole place lacks that 'wow' factor. I think it relies very much on past reputation, its not what it used to be. Sid nor justify the almost £200 DBB price tag. In fact, if it was inspected by best western on the weekend we were there, I'm sure it's 'signature collection' status would be in doubt. Its 3 star at best. Go down the road to the 'other' best western near the aerodrome if you want a 4 star experience.

Staff were lovely, when though they were obviously overworked. Nesspresso machine in room was nice touch.

upgraded to deluxe after offer, room was noisy due to nearby road. upgrade gave me noisy nights and no other benefits.

The room was very comfortable and airy. The breakfast was really tasty and there was plenty of choice. For dinner, there was also plenty of choice, the staff were very polite and tended to every need. The food was fantastic!

Room, deluxe king could have been bigger. No fridge or min bar and no toiletries provided other than soap at sink and shower. Soap at sink ran out on the last night. Ice making machine in hallway also stopped working during last evening. We ended up drinking very hot water from bottles in the room. No glasses provided in bathroom. Furniture in bedroom basic and drawers did not run smoothly.

Reception area clean, pleasant and air conditioned. Weddings on during our stay looked well catered for in lovely surroundings.

My room (room 25) was designated ‘a quiet room’ but it was by the side of the main road so I could hear traffic, which was often heavy. Added to this on the 2nd night of my stay I was awoken at about 3.25am by a lot of voices & laughing, followed by a protracted session of lovemaking - presumably in the next bedroom. This was repeated at 5am. Initially, all the sockets above the desk area ( for tea making etc) weren’t working & the plug was too big for the basin plug hole. These last two issues were sorted after I mentioned them after the first night. I never managed to get the coffee machine working. In the restaurant I was served the smallest portion of haddock I’ve ever seen in my life for Fish ‘n Chips, which, to be fair, was compensated by a free glass of wine. Finally, I had been advised that breakfast was at 6.30am, but on the Saturday morning it appears it’s not until 7.30am. This was a pity as I had been awake for some time (see above) &, despite the fact I’d paid for this in advance, I felt I had no option but to leave without it, as I had a 300 mile journey ahead of me, & was already every tired. Despite me mentioning this before I left & requesting a refund for the missed breakfast, I’ve still not heard anything further.

The room was clean, modern & well furnished. The shower worked & the bed was reasonably comfortable. The hotel reception was welcoming & there was plenty of parking. Staff were polite & helpful.
