We have stayed at the hotel under previous owners & indeed got married there ten years ago. A little disappointed no recognition of this fact even though i made them aware it was our anniversary by ordering flowers in our room on arrival. the dinner was good but the menu out of season. Also the mushroom starter we had was described as having truffle shavings, which it certainly did not. Breakfast while ok again was not as good as previous stays where a choice of menu used to be available. Options of eggs benedict, smoked salmon scrambled eggs, poached eggs etc were available to order. this does not suggest, signature hotel to me/

Dinner was good, tasty & nicely presented. Bedroom clean but quite small. Breakfast was good for a buffet style.

Had to listen to a drunk women from room 4 swearing and screaming She woke my young son up at midnight Reported to staff twice Paid for late checkout yet had a really rude member of staff knock on the door at 11.30 asking if I was staying another night as I was still there Her attitude was poor and no apology despite me saying I’d paid for late checkout till 1pm

My room was in the gatehouse, out of the main building and right next to the main road through the village. Whilst the room was comfortable, I was put out a little at having to leave the hotel to then get to my room, especially as the weather was rainy and windy

The hotel, leisure facilities and spa were all excellent. Stagg were friendly, food was wonderful.

The fact they put us in the wrong room so we had to swap. There is building work going on next door and they started early. The fact they don't do bar food anymore

I do feel a few more loungers in the spa would be beneficial, I didn't spend much time there as I felt a little uncomfortable sat at the table and chairs. I did also feel a little rushed by cleaning staff to vacate my room. Staff entered and then further knocked a good 30 mins before check out time.

I loved the room, the coffee machine was a nice touch and the fresh milk and ice machine idea is fab. The bath in the room was amazing and made my stay very relaxing and luxurious, thankyou

My double room (221) was quite small and cramped. Smaller than what I expected for the amount I paid .

The location was perfect for my school reunion stay over. The walled garden and out door area very good . Reception staff helpful. Parking great . Very good breakfast. Loved the milk and ice fridges

We had a great stay, the restaurant has a lovely garden. Access to the swimming pool, sauna and steam room is free. Pity the pool has no jacuzzi but we enjoyed the spa very much anyways.

The cooked breakfast (which wasn’t part of our booking turned out) was quite expensive for what it was for two of us. I think I would have skipped it and saved £30.

The car park was great (we had to be let in as we arrived late, so knew the car would be safe). Comfy bed and room.

Did not like the location of room, being situated outside of the hotel building. No phone in room for 24hr room service/reception, staff made no effort to rectify this. The dishes we tried over two nights in the onsite restaurant were both oily and bland. Twice my order was incorrect. During both a breakfast & dinner sitting, staff served me meat when I'm a vegetarian. The staff either blamed each other or gave no explanation at all. Inappropriate conversations had by the staff during dinner sitting on night two. The pool was closed during our visit, maintenance staff were uncommunicative and clueless.

Lovely rooms & bedding. Smart TVs excellent. Quality bathroom. Nice lighting. Overall very comfortable.

The 'king bed' was two single mattresses pushed together which was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Room was lovely, coffee machine was a nice touch, very clean, good facilities. Dinner was lovely.
