Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Polandthe cabins are quite small + the sauna needed to be booked for an exact hour but it wasn’t even hot when we got there for an agreed hour (so we wasted quite a lot of time (during our booking) to get it steamy and working)
location, sauna, great breakfast

United KingdomA lovely elevated position above Portree but within walking distance of the harbour and down centre. The main hotel building with the restaurant served excellent food and staff were very helpful. I didn't think I would brave the plunge pool but after being in the sauna for a while it was actually bearable.

United KingdomThe main pain point was for our car, as we did have to navigate a particularly large, concrete speed bump to get into the car park — no problem if you're in a 4x4 but if you have a low car, it's pretty risky. Also, as we were in the off-season, the restaurant and bar were closed and we weren't informed until we checked-in — this was mostly just disappointing as we were really looking forward to dinner at the restaurant! The staff member was very quick to recommend alternative dinner plans, though.
Perfect location, a walkable distance into Portree but you feel really remote. The pods are brilliant — super cosy and with all the modern comforts you could want, the perfect set-up for relaxing after a day exploring Skye. Breakfast in the morning was spectacular, from the local produce to the service and the view, we're already planning a return trip next year!

United KingdomAbsolutely everything. The hotel is better in person. Stunning views Luxurious cabins The staff were beyond amazing, so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a bonus (not a buffet but made to order off the menu) Nice surprises in the cabin, such as glass bottles of still and sparkling water and milk. They even provide complimentary chocolates every day. There is also a private sauna service available. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious.

United KingdomPoorly lit path up to the pods, the little solar lights are stylish but not very functional. Bit of an incline up to them which wouldn’t be suitable for some guests. We also got soaked getting up there from the car park as the weather was rough this time of the year. Pod small, only just enough room for us and our suitcase/large bag we brought for our walking holiday. Bathroom too small and no shelves to keep personal toiletries in there. Liked the pod but slept terribly on the flat pillows and resorted to using the decorative cushion to sleep on which was better but not ideal. Staff were very friendly but a few seemed young and inexperienced, which let the place down. We visited in the winter so we considered that perhaps they struggled to cover the hotel out of peak season due to its remote location.
The pod looked lovely and was very snug. Modern and nicely decorated. Lovely view from the outside. Breakfast was delicious. A great continental breakfast and also cooked option. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening. The food was delicious, compliments to their chef. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and approachable.

Beautiful warm cabins with heated floors. We also loved the sauna and cold plunge area and you could book it out for the hour so you had it to yourselves. Little bit of a mishap with our room still being cleaned when we checked in but the staff were nothing but lovely and very apologetic and gave us some gifts which we thought was very kind. The food was also amazing as well and not to mention the amazing location and views! Loved our stay and will be recommending to family and friends :)

AustraliaThe pods were cosy and very clean and had all the basic necessities required. The staff were super friendly and it was great to have the main building with games and a bar to relax in. The breakfast was plentiful with many delicious options to choose from. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so I cannot comment on dinner.

United KingdomNo fault of the hotel but we had very heavy rain throughout ourvstay and there wasn’t really anyway to take of soaking clothes before entering your Pod, which in turn made the pod quiet humid at night

United StatesThe bathroom was lacking in towel hooks or bars (only a problem if you’re staying for more than one night)
We were a group of 9 traveling from the USA and this was one of the few properties that could host all of us together. The individual cottages were small, clean and cozy. The queen-sized beds were very comfortable memory foam. The central building houses the restaurant, bar, and gathering space, all of which we put to good use. The breakfast was delicious, and the menu sufficiently varied to meet the desires of all nine of us! Also, parking was plentiful.

MalaysiaDuring our check in, is a heavy rain day with strong winds and we need to walk our way to our cabin. That’s the challenging part. Lucky there is buggy to send our luggage in. Cabin is not very spacious. A bit over rated for the money paid
The breakfast is the best part of the overall stay, with variety of choices. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The cabin is nice with heated flooring. Love the view from the cabin

United StatesFalling ill was not in our plans, but it never is and it does happen. The Hotel was not fully prepared for a take-away meal option with trays and containers, but they did their best to accommodate our needs. This is the only area for improvement we would suggest.
This was a surprisingly well-designed pod with a comfy bed and bathroom in a lovely hillside setting and a view of the harbor. Sadly, we both fell ill during our stay, so it was especially helpful to be able to stream movies on the large screen TV using our Netflix account, which helped keep us entertained while we recovered. It was also great that breakfast and dinner options were just a short walk away in the main lodge. We highly recommend the Bracken Hide Hotel!

United KingdomThe paths to and from the car park and the pods. The gravel was hard to walk on and the buggies that are used have created tram lines. The lighting was a little dark and the signs to the pods were not always clear.
The staff were exceptional and very friendly. The breakfast was great. We didn't quite understand the pods before we arrived, but decided that they were nice. Very comforatable bed.

AustraliaLeaving!
Absolutely everything! While the hotel itself is nothing less than stunning - it is the people who make it even more spectacular. Most significant was the exemplary service and kindness shown from all the staff. The porter service - from James - was an added bonus - and he is a credit to the hotel. A huge thankyou to all the staff - especially Lindsay who went way above and beyond, on a number of occasions, to provide extra ordinary support, service, genuine warmth and kindness to me - as a solo traveller. There were many other staff who I wish to acknowledge - including Shannon and Melina (I don’t know the names of everyone worth mentioning unfortunately). I also want to extend huge thanks to Howard, who also supported me to get accomodation at a sister property when I had made an error with my dates. It was lovely when he checked in on me to make sure everything was ok when I arrived there. Stella service from everyone!!!
