Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast was not great and in fact we chose to breakfast elsewhere
Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Shower large and good, warm pressure. Nice and quiet. Location was good for our needs. .

The shower was dangerous as it only ran hot, as the button to control the temperature was missing/broken - it was broken before we arrived obviously. Excrement in the bathroom on arrival - room obviously hasn't been checked/cleaned. The skylight window was dirty & didn't open
Hotel was comfortable & had a spa & other extras (didn't have time to use them) We booked last minute as our original overnight booking had fallen through. Young man who came to let us in at 11.30pm was helpful & polite. He got us a room key & showed us how to find the room

We had good breakfasts and the staff (although very short staffed on the Saturday) were very helpful and couldnt do enough for us.

Could of been a dressing table mirror The breakfast was disappointing . No hash browns , tomatoes or fried egg The scrambled egg was grey and overcooked even though the chef came out to check he didn’t replace but we were probably the last two tables for breakfast . Really nice sausages though and a great chap who explained how the breakfast buffet all worked .
The bathroom in the chalet room was lovely . We particularly liked ressi who was out of her depth on the bar . She explained is wasn’t her usual job but felt so sorry for her , she didn’t even get shown what a Prosecco glass was or how to use the till but her personality more that made up for it . Well done ressi . Comfortable beds .

Very peaceful hotel in a leafy location. Easy to find, ideally placed as a base to explore both Norfolk and Suffolk. Breakfast was good - full range of continental, cereals or cooked breakfast available, with eggs done to order if you prefer. The "executive" room with balcony was good - comfy bed, hot shower, and the balcony with French doors was most welcome tonlet in cool air (the rooms bake in the afternoon sun).

Very poor provision for vegetarians. We would have eaten in the restaurant but vegetarian options were very poor. At breakfast there was no vegetarian substitute offered.

Evening meal options were limited for anyone with children
Room was large. Clean and comfortable- my son loved the hot chocolate and biscuit treats- I don’t usually sleep well in hotels- but managed a good night here- bed was comfortable/ curtains blocked out good amount of light- the fan was a nice surprise to provide white noise- breakfast was nice and the lass serving was polite and managing the room very well despite being solo

Bed a bit firm for me. Handrails needed for steps in upstairs corridor which I found hard to manage
