Sharon is a friendly and attentive host. The breakfast was amazing and quite filling. Sharon was very helpful too in providing a map with best walking paths into town with recommended restaurants. She knows all the best places to sightsee as well. We would stay there again!

Having our room on the top floor made lugging a 25kg suitcase up and down challenging. Our room was “cosy” which is what was advertised as it was the last one available for our stay. There is no private parking but we didn’t have any problem parking in the road opposite.

A really warm welcome from Sharon who truly puts all her heart into running this clean, nicely decorated, B&B. Cannot recommend this one highly enough.

Our stay at Burnside was perfect. Our room was immaculate and we loved the arts & crafts/William Morris decor. Breakfast was amazing!! Everything was cooked fresh and super tasty. Sharon was really helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The walk into town was just right - long enough to blow away morning cobwebs or walk off a nice meal. We have already booked our return visit!

I really liked the Burneside. The owner made us feel at home and offered so much advice on the area it really made a big difference to our trip. The breakfast was delicious! The waffle with banana and toffee sauce was just so good! The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. I really could not fault the place at all.

Sharon’s b&b is absolutely gorgeous, it felt like a home from home. she was so welcoming from the moment we got there and was so helpful in providing advice about the area etc. the breakfasts were absolutely AMAZING and so freshly cooked - everything homemade!!! and so organised and attentive. decor is absolutely beautiful throughout too. loved it and hope to return!

We enjoyed our stay in the B&B a lot :) :). The Host Sharon is the Best. Herm warm welcome makes you feel right at home. She makes the best possible Breakfasts (special mention goes to the Veg sausage). She is very helpful in planning your visit around the lake District, especially Keswick. Upon her advice we hiked the "Catbells" which gives a thrilling views of the Lake. Keswick is also the place where the ancient peoples erected the Stone Circle. The B&B is only a small distance from the Stone Circle.

Nothing it was impeccable

This hotel was outstanding! firstly the service from Sharon was impeccable,professional, and welcoming nothing was any trouble and she went above and beyond to insure our stay was the best! This lady made our holiday and we will 100% be coming back. The breakfast was the best breakfast I had ever eaten, so much choice and covered all dietary’s meaning there was something for everyone! the room was immaculately clean and the perfect size for a couple! The bed was also very comfy and we both sleep incredibly well all three nights no noise at all. The location is also spot on, everything is in walking distance or there is regular buses and a good taxi service near by! the parking was also safe and secure. During our stay we climbed Scarfell Pike when we got back Sharon came to see if we was ok which was a lovely touch and made us feel safe and was a special touch for us we amazingly made the summit! Sharon also recommended things to do and places to eat which is really helpful when your on holiday and not from the area, I’m a really nervous traveler and she made me feel so comfortable helping us with directions and information leaflets of things to do. The pizza place she recommend was amazing. I will 100% be recommending this hotel to everyone!

Very little that could be done better. Our room was quite small, but adequate for our short stay, and we did book it quite late for a busy half-term week, so that was down to us rather than the B&B itself.

Nothing everything just perfect.

Sharon was very welcoming and very helpful with local knowledge. Room was lovely and spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable we had a fantastic sleep. Breakfast was exceptional especially Sharon's homemade vegan sausage. Catered very well for vegan / vegetarians. The full English was also cooked to perfection using local produce. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again ☺️

Unfortunately, we drew the short straw with our room which was very small for 2 people.for a 4 night stay. Bathroom also very small.

Room smaller than we expected, and parking was up a hill on the roadside

Lovely host, the food was amazing, the room was clean, the only downside was room smaller than we expected the bed took up most of the room and we kept walking into end of be and no wardrobe, they did provide hangers, also I ticked for parking, but didn't realize it was not onsight parking but Sharon was lovely and we felt very welcome and looked after.

Rather dark inside . On edge of town - too far to walk-in for restaurants in evening . On main road . A very small en-suite- really minute. Very poor shower .

A fan is ESSENTIAL during summer. Walking up 2 stairs with luggage is never an easy task. Parking is not on site. This accommodation is right next to the main road.

The closest parking was up a hill. Our room was tiny with sitting only for one. We would have liked to have worked in the breakfast room but it was locked. The shower was liable to scald you and it was difficult to get out because it was so tiny The mattress wall on my side had collapsed and the pillows need replacing . It would be better to have a jug of orange juice at breakfast than the tiny ration given out .As this is the most expensive of ten Bnb's we are staying at we are disappointed.

Character property with warm, cosy inviting feel. Exceptionally clean with real attention to detail. Very comfortable bed. A 20 min walk but nice to be a little bit away from busy Keswick. Very easy to park just over the road. Fantastic breakfast. Very friendly and knowledgeable hostess.
