One night there where some noisy neighbours, till 2:30AM, there is no personal walking around to take action in such a case.

Lovely location. Visited Ballater and it was just down the road, not too hard to travel to after each day. Nice and comfortable. Plus a dog was allowed for a fee which was perfect for us.

There was nothing I didn't like the bothy was great, location was great and so was the weather but if I was being major picky the bed in our bothy was not the most comfortable but you can't please everyone can you

Location was great so many beautiful walks in the area. The bothy was great clean and tidy equipped with all the essentials you need. Bed linen was lovely and surroundings are amazing and a great place to recharge your batteries.

Physical maps of the surrounding woods would have been better as there was no wifi.

Beautiful quiet location. Place was superbly clean and what you needed was provided with sufficient instructions.

The Woodburner as we had trouble getting it to lit and it smoked the boffy out so we had limited hot water

The bedroom could do with a couple of bedside shelves to place phone, glasses, mugs next to. It would also be useful if the deck could be installed with a gate to stop the dogs running out into the woods.

The mattress of the particular bothie we stayed in was awful, it felt like every spring was poking into our bodies as we slept. The bothie in its self needed a bit of TLC when it came to cleaning was very dusty and cobwebs galore. However, that being said we would still come back and go to a different bothie hopefully the mattresses aren’t all bad!

The bothies are just gorgeous, we absolutely adored them and found they were easy enough to find. We loved how cosy and remote they are, the decking allowed us to have a bbq both nights and it was so peaceful. We saw some red squirrels too. There are plenty walks to do also if you fancy getting out and about.

The bothy was very cozy, the bed very comfy. The night sky was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast in the morning sun on the terrace was really nice.

Emailed in advance to ask if bedding was provided for sofa bed as I was coming with a family member and recieved a rather stern reply regarding this which appeared to acuse me of bringing other guests I hadn't booked on which wasn't the case, no apology was offered when I pointed out this was not the case

Really loved staying here, fab location and Bothie. Stove was easy to use and warmed the shower up very quickly The nature reserve is around 5 minutes away to drive and is beautiful which had lots of lovely dog walks

Only downside I would say is the decking didn’t have a gate on, would be handy to with kids and dogs.

Loved the area it was in and the fact you had to sort the fire out yourself, made the trip a lot more fun.

Absolutely amazing! Perfect location, great for kids and dogs. Cute little bothies were ideal and had everything you needed! We needed extra linen and it wasn’t a chore at all, very grateful to have found this spot!!

Storm cleared too many trees in immediate vicinity. Lack of viewing wild life.

Luxury way of basic camping. All facilities provided to heat and light with backup solar. Solid structures with space.

The only downside was that our stay had to end.

The location was absolutely stunning as was the Bothy itself. To be able to open the door and walk straight out into the woodland was amazing and very peaceful.

We had planned on our trip using our e-bikes. However after booking discovered that charging e-bikes was not possible and were advised to 'look online for an option'. I appreciate the ethos of solar power and energy conservation however there may be some potential for compromise here given the growing trend for e-bicycles.

The quality of the fixtures and fittings was excellent. Well provisioned in terms of logs and kindling for the stove. The shower had good water pressure and the setting was peaceful. The bed was super comfy!
