The bed is great; I think it is a "memory-foam" mattress, with a great duvet to match. The hot water system exceeded expectations for a chalet, producing very hot water, very quickly. The kitchen was well equipped with a conventional cooker (oven/grill/4-hotplates), as well as a microwave oven, with pots/pans and utensils to match. Good TV (with Freeview/Freesat) and a DVD player with a good range of titles in the bookcase. The weather was cold in December but the chalet warmed very quickly and kept very cosy for my stay.

The local buses are a bit sketchy, and the road outside is a bit dicey, you definitely need a car for most trips and getting there.

Lovely location, very quiet and peaceful. Chalet is cosy and has everything you need. Very clean and the bed is very comfortable. No WiFi, but the Internet connection is surprisingly good considering where it is. The few little extras make it feel homely, and Debbie is a very helpful and communicative host.

Wifi would be great but might have put up the price. Just make sure you have some data on your phone package. There's some good DVDs for evening entertainment.

For what I wanted - which was well priced, comfortable accommodation in a great location in Devon - it was great. It was clean and comfortable. I also stayed there in the winter, when I worried about the cold but the convector heaters were very good.

Two very small things. The hot water for washing up was never hot and the TV remote was not easy to use, probably on its way out.

It was very clean and tidy, easy by car to get around, and quiet at this time of year (Dec) The host was excellent, great communications and very easy to find.

The path too and from the car was narrow and difficult to manoeuvre luggage. Parking place was not clearly defined.

It was very clean self catering with everything provided. I suited us very well.

There's nothing to dislike about the property itself from a self-catering point of view (other than some may feel the need for a dishwasher that can't really be accommodated as there's simply no space for one). It's a shame that the site has no easy walking access to the nearest supermarkets (Sainsbury and Lidl) - the main road is just too dangerous for walkers (but car access is good and very easy).

The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Access to the property is easy via a small footpath from the nearby on-site car-parking (about 150 metres). The site is served by a regular bus service (Stagecoach 92) between Dartmouth and Totnes (every two hours except on Sundays when the service is severely limited) but the service ends rather early in the evening. Access by car is very easy and there is plenty of free on-site parking.
