Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA little hard to find, but not a problem to navigate once we knew where it was
A short drive from the park and ride into Oxford but so quiet and green in the country. Conveniently located to travel to Blenheim and all the sights of Oxford. Actively recycle, which is great. We will be back in summer to punt on the river.

United KingdomWe had to buy extra toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and bin liners and there was only one tea towel, these are minor things and if we had known we could have brought them with us.
Our lodge was spacious and well laid out. The beds were very comfortable and the heating kept the lodge cosy. We had a lovely river view with lots of trees, ducks, geese and even a peacock!

AustraliaWe should have rented a second car for this holiday as our one driver had to do a lot of ferrying. The location definitely better with your own transport. Local taxis were reliable and we had a grand time.
Lots of space, Laura Ashley style décor, full kitchen, visiting peacock 🦚. Comfortable beds. Great local pub a short drive away.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing. It was perfect for our needs.
This was an idyllic location. So beautiful, peaceful, quiet and comfortable it could not have been more perfect. I cannot imagine a nicer spot. The ducks, chicken, geese, rabbits and Peter the Peacock were delightful and entertaining. Barry and Lynne made us feel so welcome and so helpful. All this and only a 10 drive from the centre of Oxford. A good position to explore other places around too. We all 3 loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

United KingdomThe basic necessities supplies are very limited. For example, I called the host requesting for more toilet rolls, but was told they calculate the amount of papers each guest would used. The Wi-Fi and mobile signals are poor.

Czech RepublicSlow Internet, but it even adds charm)
A wonderful place, it's nice to come back after a hard day, the smells of grass, garden and forest, the relaxed atmosphere of a country house quickly relieves fatigue. Brilliant location, close to Oxford, only an hour drive from London, an hour and a half from the coast. Comfortable free parking. Many thanks to Barry. Classical English nobility and dignity, wonderful humor, great hospitality. This place is also loved by wild rabbits, deer and peacocks) An island of old and private, beautiful England, as I imagined it according to classical literature. Would definitely stay here again.

Barry and Lyn were great hosts very friendly and made you feel welcome, the lodge we had led down to a river, I only wished I had brought my fishing rod. Lodge was lovely with very comfy beds. We had deer and rabbits in the garden in the morning and had the resident peacock visit us every day, which was nice. Would definitely stay here again, already planning it now and next time I will bring my fishing rods. Thank you for a lovely break.

Czech RepublicEverything was perfect, the lodge, the very comfortable beds, the well-equipped kitchen, the terrace etc., only it is better to come with a car (which I think most people do anyway) because of the busy road in front of the farm. I chose this accommodation for the possibility of walking through the meadows to the very centre of Oxford and this was perfect and I enjoyed it very much.

South AfricaThe location was on a busy road, and the internet wasn't great.
Barry and Lyn were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The lodge itself was beautiful inside and certainly was big enough to cater for my family and I. The accommodation allowed for us to stay in doors when the days were wet. There were parks nearby for us to go to with our kids (2 & 4 years old). Thank you for a wonderful stay

It was like heaven on earth! Everything was perfect from the check-in day till the checkout day. Everything was perfect for our big family (2 adults, 4 kids). Perfect for dad to work, prepare meals, kids to play around and family to have quality time The house Beds were comfortable, living room was amazingly comfortable, fully equipped kitchen to cook, and the area around the lodge was breathtaking. The owners Barry and Lynn were lovely, friendly and helpful. Not to mention their pet Pete was fun to have around, the kids loved the big bird.
