Everything was perfect.

Property was in the perfect location of Edinburgh, perfect walking distance from every main attraction. It was very clean and has comfortable beds. They also allow you store luggage before you check-in and after you check-out. Staff very friendly as well. Great stay.

The staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. They go above and beyond! I loved the location and affordability AND I also loved that guests were all ages, etc. As a 57 yo solo traveler, seeing all the different ages together was awesome.

I woke up a few times in the night since there were other travellers going around. However, I think that's how hostels work so I thought it was fine. I'm normally used to sleeping in a very quiet space so it may be exceptionally hard for me.

The accommodation was crazy close to the Royal Mile, exceptional for solo travellers to get around! Everything was close by and easily reachable by foot. The washrooms were exceptionally clean. I saw that there were many events and activities going on but didn't have enough time to join any.

Coffee I paid for at reception was not good. For the price paid it should include a basic breakfast - cereal and toast.

Still one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Clean, quiet, modern, high quality, comfortable. Only issue is the bathroom/shower doors/locks which are sometimes damaged. Location is amazing.

Breakfast (extra for 6 pounds pp) - it was ok, good croissant but jam came in little plastic packets, there was not much option for spread, the vegan cheese was terrible (tasted very artificial and pretentious). My family and I (parents and one son) shared a cell room with three other roommates - 4 males and 2 females. One male roommate snored very loudly during the night for a long time and the other roommate sleeping below the snorer knocked very loudly trying to stop him from snoring. And the snorer and knocker woke the others up unnecessarily!! (Actually there was a sign that said we could get earplugs from the reception). Luckily we were there for a night. I could not imagine sharing another night with such inconsiderate people. It was very expensive, for €280/night for the three of us in this mix dorm, though the location is convenient and modern facility. Not sure if we would visit Edinburg in August again. Everything was over priced.

The location is excellent, right where all attractions are where the Royal Mile is. The staff was very friendly. Our cell has 6 beds, each has its own safe where we could lock our valuable things. We could also store our luggage In a small store room in the cellar. The facility like beds, bathrooms, toilets are very modern and functional. Nice warm showers. Much space in the bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and clean and equipped with a charging area, reading light, leaning pad on the back wall to lean on to when reading. The cell room was really roomy for our luggage. Breakfast was quite OK. But we could use the big and clean breakfast room to eat our takeaway lunch.

Fantastic location, spotlessly clean and superbly efficient and friendly staff. Good value for money during the Festival, and CoDE's own events looked interesting although I didn't have time (this time!) to fit anything in.

I wish they would make the doors on the dorms quieter (they really make a lot of noise when anyone opens/closes them and you’re trying to sleep!). the breakfast was pretty disappointing and the only thing I wish I hadn’t paid for.

comfy beds, clean and bright bathroom area and really like the shower area. the pods make it a very comfortable and private stay.

my flight was delayed by 4 hours and when I landed, it was 3 in the morning, I saw a message from the hostel, that if I do not arrive till 2 pm they will cancel the whole booking. it was really mean, because I paid the booking, and I was tired, very embarrassed with long trip anyway it just made me more nervous. and that's very clever of them: if person is not arriving till certain time they cancel the booking and rebook it again, at higher price lol:-) it is high season. they also put me at the bed near the door, and I couldnt sleep at first night (I got there after 15 hours journey with long connection and at 5 in the morning). because of all that I give only 8 and not 10

The light in the sleeping cube probably needs to be maintained better since sometimes it will blink.

The pods could use better air circulation, I had to leave the curtain open to get fresh air and Getreide of the heat buildup.
