It would be better if the facility in the bathroom and communal places are more regularly cleaned.

The double ensuite room is compact but comfortable with all the amenities you need. CoDE has loads of activities planned in house. Location is perfect right on the Royal Mile. Most attractions are minutes walk away. Would recommend.

The CoDE is located right middle of Royal Mile which I saw on BBC world news,was away amazed at the location. People are very attentive and kind, Tea and Chocolate bread was my fav. Christmas decorations were I think CoDE was the best Edinburgh.Top choice and will definitely come back again. Thank you so much,

Things are reasonably well-maintained. Everything is cleaned regularly, but perhaps not exactly thoroughly. Its difficult to do when there are a lot of guests sharing facilities. Again, it's a fantastic location and a cheap price, very hard to beat in the center of Edinburgh.

Incredible location right on the Royal Mile. Facilities are reasonable, beds are comfortable and clean. The price is hard to beat for the location.

I loved the atmospherre, staff, the pods , the music in the bathoom, rooms nice and warm on a cold wintersday. Great beds. Good blankets, great breakfast. Just loved everything! I am in my 40s and traveled solo but i felt at home right away, had an amazing 3 days in edinburgh!. Special thanks to Monica who was very helpfull!

Lockers I don’t think the information is in a convenient location I couldn’t see the wall poster until I had locked myself out Should be on counter top or inside the locker door Also there should be a recommendation on the thermostat. My room mate had temp on 26, could be better if you put on there a recommended temp

The pods were private and clean. The blackout curtains were good I had an issue with my pod as it was next to the heater and I was moved quickly without a fuss

The door slammed all night. I did not manage to fall asleep at all. The door could not close without some force, where most users chose to slam it which also worked. Not great. It likely kept the bunk upstairs awake as well, and I noticed that the boxes we are sleeping surrounded with creak slightly as well ..

I've been here before and I liked that I could confidently gage the time things will take me getting there and then to the airport in the morning. Proximity to a lot of places to get food was another thing I liked, and another reason I chose to stay with you again.

The staff was ultra friendly, super helpful. Loved the breakfast cafe and the live music in the evenings. Location is amazing. Everything is sparkling clean. I stayed in a private room for a week, then in a POD for a few days and loved both experiences. I will return as often as possible (from the US)

Is hard to say. May be that there were no meals, or a silent social area.

I loved that you can stay at the social areas working all day (and even night). On Friday’s it can be a bit loud, but come on, is Friday! They have prepared lots of activities that are worth trying. I was not able to do them all, due to work, but few I did, ended up loving it. I liked how clean and organized everything was.

The bedding was a bit short in length. I'm not a tall guy but I had to sleep in a fetal position if I didn't want to have cold feet or upper body. I would also have wished that the bed was 20cm longer.

It was in the heart of Edinburgh and they had the cutest little activities and a coffee and waffle breakfast that was delectable. The pods were comfy and surprisingly had an immense amount of privacy despite there being 10 other people in the same room. Staff was friendly and the bathrooms were always up to par with cleanliness. I would recommend this hostel to anyone, especially female solo travellers because they also have womens only rooms which made my stay a lot less stressful.
