It was a shame the swimming pool wasn’t open despite telling me I’d be able to use it during my trip

It was lovely and clean, very nice reception area, bar and restaurant. Fish tanks on each floor are lovely and the room was clean but could do with an update.

The food served in the restaurant was not up to standard, i ordered buttered chicken and it was dry and served with skinny fries i would expect better quality in line with the hotel standards. My fellow guests also ordered steak that was pricey but burnt. The standard of food was the only thing that let the hotel down

- Disgusting pool and grumpy leisure centre staff - Cold bedroom, used heaters provided but these got really hot to touch and were too hazardous around young children - children’s single bedding was heavily stained - cold breakfast options were sparse, not enough staff available to clear tables, restock and clean mess from previous guests

Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice, the only negative was the temperature of the food. Would have liked it to be hot but I guess what can you expect from a buffet.

Stayed as a family of 5. Our junior suite was superb, clean and extremely comfortable. The manager who checked us in was really helpful. We visit Ascot every year for Lapland UK and now will stay no where else.

The sound proofing is not great. I can always hear water through the pipes and people in the next room and corridors. It also makes me conscious of using the spa bath at night as it probably makes loads of noise for other guests.

The breakfast was ok, I thought the hotel was amazing blew us away how fancy it was and felt so magical with the Christmas trees. Very comfortable beds room was good size all the bits you would need iron and hairdryer in the room. Amazing shower.

Being a weekend before Christmas, the hotel was busy and the breakfast area was crowded.

Very comfortable and well equipped room. Well soundproofed - there were large parties going on but we never heard a thing. Excellent walk-in shower, hotel provided a non-slip mat on request.

Room wasn't the cleanest. The floor still had lots of pieces of confetti on the floor which was a shame but didn't ruin our stay. Biggest downfall for us was the changing areas for the swimming pool. As a single mum with a 10 year old son (Autistic and anxiety) my son really didn't want to use the male communal changing room and to be honest I didn't feel comfortable him being around lots of strange, naked men. I do understand why it would not seem suitable for a 10 year old to be in the woman's communal area also which is why I think something needs to be put in place for these situations. My son did come in the ladies changing area with me but in the shower with a curtain across for his and other people's privacy. I just feel this put a slight dampner on our stay as my son got quite upset about this. Otherwise, fantastic stay but this may prevent us staying again in the future which is a shame as it's a beautiful hotel.

Reception, bar and cleaning staff were all so friendly. Room was a lovely size and really comfy bed. Very clean communal areas and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Perfect location for our trip to Lapland UK. My son loved the aquarium.

Friendly & helpful staff, room size was amazing value, location was excellent with plenty of parking available (a short drive to both Lapland UK & Ascot station). The hotel was very family friendly, we felt really comfortable here as a family with young children and that means a lot. We used the restaurant in the evening, they made space for us as we had not booked, this was very much appreciated and the food was good. There were lots of families staying here as it's so close to Lapland UK and lots of people enjoying festive celebrations, we didn't have any issues with noise at all. No one batted an eye when we walked into the restaurant with young children and that was very refreshing. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, it's excellent value and very convenient and the staff were very helpful. Bonus points for the multi level fish tank which was much loved by the children in our group!

Sofa in room was rock solid. Furniture in room was a little dated. Cleanliness in the main was fine, but in our room, we found a couple of issues like a half eaten biscuit in the bedside cabinet, and some things had been cleaned around, and not picked up.

Bed were very big and comfy. Bathroom was spacious for a family, and had both a separate bath and shower. Room was very spacious. Staff were great and helpful. Kids loved the fish tank and handy having a little shop opposite. Breakfast had a good selection. There is a night club, but could still sleep, and it finished at 12 so was fine Kids also loved the look of the hotel Had lunch in the bar which was very inviting, warm, and the food was lovely Booked mainly as it had a pool. Pool area was clean and warm

Style of tge hotel, find, rooms all amazing, just the pool was a but cold and no bathrobes provided or extra towels when using the pool.
