The Cross Keys is a lovely country Inn with “old fashioned service standards “ help in with luggage and taken to our room personally nothing too much trouble. Room was lovely very comfortable and clean and loads of tea/coffee (more in corridor if needed) and toiletries. Food and drinks in the lovely cosy bar area was very nice. Will most certainly be visiting again!

Menu could have been a bit more extensive but I guess it was a bit off season so is hard to achieve that.

Very friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. Food was of a good quality. Felt like a real community hub for the village and surrounding area. Very quiet overnight.

Nothing really it was good to get away from soulless hotels and busy traffic noise.. We would certainly return.

The Cross Keys Inn was an overnight stay between Xmas and New Year and it was just what we needed... Amazing food.. Clean comfortable room charming staff.. Selkirk the nearest town was good for mooching round shops and coffee break... Worth a visit....

If I had one small criticism I would say the radiator in the bathroom did not appear to be working whic made it very cold.

Breakfast was excellent. Served by attentive staff. We ate in the Inn both nights. Food was lovely and great value. Bar prices great. Lots of lovely walks in the area. We will definitely return.

Everything you want from a country pub in beautiful surrounding countryside. We were given a very warm welcome, dinner and breakfast were excellent and our bedroom was clean and comfortable. It was warmly and tastefully furnished and well stocked with tea and coffee.

Although there was wifi in the room it was a a bit intermittent at times but not a real problem.

The music in the pub in the evening was fantastic! Some first class musicians playing. Breakfast was excellent. Comfortable room. Staff helpful.

Nothing, everything met or exceeded expectations

The trip exceeded our expectations in all aspects. From the greeting, at the door, when we arrived to the breakfast before we left. The staff are amazing, friendly and very welcoming. We were shown to our room and helped with our bags. The room was a good size, clean and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. When we went downstairs, the welcome was again there from staff and locals and we were invited to sit by the fire with our drink. The food was very good, not a massive menu but more than adequate and the quality was top notch. A truly exceptional place buried away in the Borders of Scotland.
