A large hotel which could do with some redecorating.

Good location near Shanklin sea front with sea views from the window. Very spacious double room with comfortable bed. Lots of hot water. Good breakfast. Pleasant and welcoming host and hostess. Useful local information provided

Breakfast time was very restrictive. It is only served between 8.00-9.00 am. now if someone is on a holiday, they must get up early to have this breakfast. Takeouts were not allowed in the room, neither a different option was provided, like use of common room for eating outside food, etc.

Location is the best part of this hotel. Short distance from the train station, as well as from the beach. Breakfast was also good.

2 Star B&B, that does its job very well, with clean and usable facilities - friendly staff

Nothing really. Possibly a larger breakfast but not really anything to complain about!

First impression was that the hotel was very clean - really smelt clean! My room had great view looking towards the bay with large windows. Large bed was good and bathroom facilities were fine. TV and WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was very good, but felt portions possibly a bit thrifty - though understandable to avoid waste (for example other B&Bs had multiple breakfast cereals and milk laid out for guests to eat as much as they wanted). The couple who run the hotel were very friendly and approachable - very nice.

Hosts lovely ,breakfast nice and most of hotel ok untill we got to our room ,it was like going back in time ,very dated ,old furniture chipped and damaged ,carpet faded and stained ,curtains very old faded and dirty but worse was the bathroom, broken toilet roll holder that he did mention but worse was the cabinet with only 1 class sliding door and that was all broken at the edges, out dated toilet and bath with plastic shower attachment on the taps ,again disgusting curtains and worse carpet on floor which I hate in bathrooms was so faded and dirty around the toilet made sure I left my shoes on as don't know if anyone has done a wee on it Rusty radiator Bed not very comfy Not the sort of room you expect in 2024 for that money

    Breakfast ,sea view

As a base it did the job But as things are not so good with the economy it needs a lot of work to be done to it and money spent maybe if things pick up this will be looked at redecorating and general maintenance

Advertised as licensed bar and evening meal service but these have not been available since lockdown.

The breakfast would have been better if it was self service for cereal, fruit and yogurt as limited choice. Eggs were over cooked

i had booked 2 rooms, one was similar to what i thought i had booked ,from the photos i had seen on the site,The other was very disappointing ,nothing like the photos ,i would never have picked a room like this ,it was poorly decorated with lots of faults and scruffy bodged up arreas ,ie window frames, wallpaper, floor and and absolute awful view of a scruffy yard and rotatory washing line ,the tv was in a awkward place so was hard to watch ,room was very disfunctional.

On arrival the Hosts were very warm and welcoming,Breakfast was good ,lots of hot and cold choices, nothing was too much trouble.

Thought I was onto to a winner getting an upgrade but very disappointed as the toilet/ washbasin room was dirty. Crack down the wall and ceiling discoloured and plaster stained. Radiator was dirty and mould on tiles. Toilet paper holder was cracked. Patchwork wallpaper. Good job I was only staying for 2 nights.

Good choice for breakfast. Location very good for railway station , bus station and beach .Booked a single room with sea view but upgraded to a double room

I had an enjoyable stay at the Curraghmore especially because of the location.

I was in a room on the ground floor which overlooked a terrace. When people were sitting on the terrace they could have seen straight into the room as they were almost under the window. I think nets at the window would add some privacy. The ensuite with a sink and toilet could do with some attention - tiles coming away and a patch on the ceiling that looked as though it was caused by a leak from above and the window would not open. Carpet in the bedroom was stained between the bed and window.

Good choice for breakfast, freshly prepared. Excellent quiet location, only five minutes walk to the beach and ten minutes walk to the train station. Lovely large bath towel. The bed was large and very comfortable. Towels and bed linen changed during my stay. The hosts Bernard and Lesley were very welcoming.

The room we were allotted doesn't have network much, and the property doesn't have wifi. They had only hot-spot which doesn't reach our room. Although the staff told us he will provide wifi dongle which never been given until our stay.

The building could do with renovation and as such the room was extremely hot at night making it difficult for us to sleep. Water pressure in the shower was just a dribble.

Friendly welcoming hosts, lovely cooked breakfast, comfortable bed. Parking available but we used the street parking as it was easy.
