There are areas in the hotel that need modernization, walls etc especially at the reception area. Room can get cold but provided a portable radiator. Overall it's ok for a short stay.

Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable and friendly staff. Richard at reception had exceptional customer service skills, welcomed and made sure all queries everything went smoothly.

Noisy pipes woke us both us early and did not stop came back from breakfast and the noise was still going so checked out early Small parts of the wall paper is off the wall.

Hotel was a little run down and in need of decoration. Person serving on breakfast not very friendly or informative. No milk in room for a cuppa had to ask. No heating on in room and was rather chilly.

Room was spacious but in need of some tlc . Reception and bar staff friendly. Hotel was in a superb location and grounds.

Property was quite dated though the spa and pool were lovely and the low lighting ambient vibes were lush

Dinner Menu

The Hotel has been acquired by new owners and is going through a transition. The staff exceeded expectations from Check in, through the restaurant to check out. I have no doubt it will be a first class facility when completed.

It’s not as good as it used to be General maintenance is not great eg broken tiles in the spa, jacuzzi cold, our bath ran brown water, our breakfast 1st day was cold. The toaster is sooooo slow, very limited choice for breakfast - it used to be amazing now it’s very down to a price. Taps loose in the bathroom

Whilst the hotel was clean and tidy, it is looking a little dated and in need of some basic maintenance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, however, the menu was a little basic with the same menu being served in both the bar and the restaurant.

Ive visted a few times over the years. Some areas are a little tired and could do with some TLC.

Spar facilities were good. Food was nice in the restaurant. Staff were very helpful. Lovely peaceful break.

No duvet in our room when we checked in. However, this was resolved very quickly. No bath only shower in “deluxe” room. Security chain was broken on the door. No main light in room, only lamps.

See comment about breakfast room. The first night there was no-one else in the annexe and we had the best night's sleep. Next 2 nights noisy people in adjacent rooms, probably going to work, woke us from 6am so not really a holiday for us.

Breakfast was great and staff helpful. Only downside was as soon as tables were vacated the staff started dragging them around and setting for lunch even when breakfast still being served and almost an hour before the breakfast session ended. Hotel now under change of ownership, no longer Ramada so remains to be seen how this goes. We love the pool and jacuzzi though pool not as warm as last time we were here.
