Excellent accomodation in a great location. Had everything we needed for a few days away, cosy, beautifully furnished and with lots of places to walk, shop and eat nearby.

Great location, quiet, close to a park, short walk into the town or Bowes Museum. Parking ample and easy, right in front of the property. Nice walk along the river right from the front door. Compact but well-equipped kitchen.

Could have been cleaner. Mugs chipped & cracked, drinking glasses were dirty. Could benefit from some TLC to the paintwork.

A very lovely location and a special little home. Travelling for work often means missing on home comfort, not so at this home. I almost wanted to not go to work. Great walks, views and access to Barnard Castle.

If perfection is wanted may be just needs a bit of attention to smaller details. House was overall clean and tidy, but grouting in the shower base could be cleaner and there was some black mould behind bathroom basin tap. Washing up bowl was a bit greasy. Also - neither of us are tall - thermostat is so high on wall we couldn't see the figures although could just reach it to turn the dial and the hangers in wardrobes again hanging far too high up - for most people I would think. Also wonder if superking bed is necessary - leaves very little room either side of bed.

Location of property superb. Overlooked parkland and river. Quiet but town centre 5 minutes walk away. Rooms comfortable, living room a good size (as was TV) with comfortable sofa. 2 double bedrooms was also great. Kitchen small but fairly well stocked. Heating easy to operate.

Whilst sofas were okay being mature in age made it difficult to get of. TV needs to be bigger and a proper smart one with apps for all main streamers. Warnings about not making noise after ten. We don’t make noise and believed neighbour knocked on wall.

Lovely comfortable home. Beautiful outlook onto field and small park. Really appreciated the extra touches like eggs, milk and biscuits. Extremely clean. Great communication.

Lovely clean cottage nicely tucked away but only a few minutes walk into the town centre where there is a good selection of cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants, we ate at Capri and The three Horseshoes which were both very nice. Good communication with the owners and easy access. We went to High Force waterfall which was only a short drive into beautiful countryside.
