The rooms are a little tired and in need of redecoration. The curtains do not block out the light effectively. Breakfast was good but a little more TLC needed with the cooked items.

Wonderful location and lovely staff. The room was a bit small but it was fine, and it had a lovely outlook over the garden and river. Also there was a bath, and this was a nice treat. The breakfast was very good. The only thing we missed in the room was a fridge.

Great location. Helpful staff. Not a great bar - small, and with the lounge not available due to a private function nowhere to sit except the restaurant as a temporary option. Didn’t have dinner but breakfast was good, though one cooked option was not right.

The menu for evening meal was rather limited and included some unusual meals. Had hoped to eat in the hotel after our journey but decided to eat in town centre as hotel menu not to our taste. There were no chicken dishes, and the only fish dish had a very spicy sauce with it. It was disappointing.

The rooms had physical keys and did not self lock making it easy to forget to lock the room on exit or overnight

Simple check in. Clean and tidy room with tea/coffee making facilities. An excellent view over the river, watching the wildlife and rowers. Breakfast was prepared individually and not buffet style.

Beautiful hotel in an exceptional riverside location. Watching the sun set over the river from the dining room was a delightful experience. Excellent breakfast and attentive and helpful staff. Very close to the Cathedral and city centre.

Rather jaded generally and particularly the carpets looked dirty and there was an unpleasant smell on first entering, which wasn’t present in the morning when the doors were open airing the ground floor.

The free wi-fi was a little hit and miss, but really not complaining.

Comfortable, very clean, quiet (but small) single room, at an ideal temperature when I stayed in March ... the breakfasts and a couple of evening meals were excellent and in a dining room with views over the Severn towards the County cricket ground. The plumbing in the en-suite bathroom was really well thought-out and reliable.

To improve, the hotel could have added a herbal tea selection in rooms. The heated floor in the bathroom (whilst amazing) wasn't working on all tiles. The shower was also a bit stiff.

Great location on the river. This was a charming property with a well laid out and spacious room. The breakfast was very good quality, and the staff were lovely.
