We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PolandLady who was at home didn't show us around. Very awkward strong smell- like bleach or something. Hard bed, only bed cover without duvet in my room. No kettles in the room like there are usually in all Airbnbs, rooms on booking.com. No heating on! Cold radiators. When we took my in-laws to the Stansted Airport after we came back we were supposed to stay to have a sleep before coming back to Bath, but it was so cold inside and uncomfortable that we decided to come back home
Good contact with the owner via phone, parking space in front of the house. Walking distance from train station and shops, restaurants, petrol station, cinema etc.

United KingdomThe staff was so rude and had a nasty attitude. The bed sheets were dirty, I had to ask him if I could get them changed and the bed was really uncomfortable. The room was so cold I was shivering at night as he would only turn the heater on for 5 hours throughout the day and 2 hours in the morning in this cold weather. He ordered me to pay £10 extra for inviting my friend in the room because apparently I was not supposed to bring anyone into my room. He told me all this information through the email on the day after I arrived to the home which I came to see it later on around 8pm/9pm. There was no space for me to park my car as the drive way was already occupied by the time I'd arrived. If I'd known all this earlier I wouldn't even have tried to book a room at 17 Southbury road in Enfield, London EN1 1RH. I was so disappointed I'd never go back again even in my dream

United KingdomBed was terrible.. it felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Hosts living room was with no doors so was invading my personal space.. No kettle in the room ?! Not welcoming at all it was like.. "there is your room get on with it, and make sure you following the rules" not nice experience at all.
