Lol the weather

Large room, comfy bed with plenty of teas, coffees and milk plus a couple of museli bars. Very friendly hosts. Highly recommend

It was close to where I needed to be. Nice setting Had WiFi, room was good size, good selection of tea and coffee, liked the little fridge.

Bev and Ed were excellent hosts and made us extremely welcome in their characterful cottage. The cottage is perfectly situated in the village of Beaulieu .

The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The room was equipped with everything as described in the advertising plus a few extras which were very welcome.

Great place to stay. The cottage is in the mid of village and is very cozy. The room spacious, is clean has kettle and good choice of tea/coffee, and Kellogg's bars. The bathroom is just next door and bathroom looks really great. Parking place was free and convenient. Very nice stay.

If you are without a car, finding a place to eat in evening is difficult. The only place in the village is expensive, the next nearest is an half an hour walk.

Fascinating cottage so much history. We were made very welcome but feel I should point out very low ceilings downstairs and stairs a little shallow and twisty. We're both tall and had a little difficulty negotiating access to room. Not a complaint just feel this fact should be mentioned?

Could have been clearer that we had to share a bathroom with the owners who left their towels etc in the bathroom. Also could do with detailing that there is limited head room in the shower And also need to mention that the owners have a dog that wanders around the house, my husband is allergic and this could have caused a lot of problems, in the details it says no pets allowed, and I wrongly assumed it meant it would be pet free

I was warned beforehand, but the shared bathroom was a little strange. Previously a shared bathroom has been just with other guests, but this was with the family, so you had to be careful not to disturb or move things. The other significant concern was that the bathroom was down two flights of steep, narrow, albeit short stairs. I am fortunate that I do not have a significant prostate problem, but night calls, half asleep, were a challenge. There was also a concern, with the above mentioned problem, that you might find the one and only toilet occupied. This did not happen but it is a factor that I will consider in the future. There is nothing that Bev and Ed can do about this so I mention it for information and explanation only

I liked the location, the friendliness, the comfort of the bed and general appointments in the room. Ed and Bev were particularly kind in providing a light breakfast, which was not strictly included in the deal

Low doorways and ceilings - being a slightly taller person of 6' 7" I had to move very slowly and carefully to avoid hitting my head. The advert was very open / honest about what the accommodation can/ does not provide.

Lovely couple own the place, very friendly and informative. Tea making facilities in the room and fridge with bottled water (very hot weekend). Very old /characterful accommodation at a very economical local price.

Negotiating the parking was a bit tricky as in order to open the gate to the driveway one blocked another entrance- to the annoyance of those wanting to get in or out.

Really need to read the description very carefully. 100% Our fault did not expect what we booked. Felt very conscious that we were strangers sleeping in someone’s spare room
