Our room was reallocated and was too small for what was needed. I messaged ahead saying I was a wheelchair user, but this was ignored and hence the room allocated was too small.

No information in the room regarding getting WiFi. Breakfast wasnt included in the price which you would expect for the price paid. The receptionist didnt even explain when breakfast was. The room was noisey. The windows didnt close properly so the noise of the road couldnt be reduced.

Check in was good. Room was Ok. There wasnt really much else to say about the property or staff

Parking was not very well lit and a little walk to reception - a bit disconcerting for a female at night.

Cheap and cheerful - clean large room, clean bathroom. Did exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. Free parking. good breakfast.

A little tired. Cleaning wasn’t 100% TV didn’t work. Some of the clientele.

Contrary to some of the reviews it was okay. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious. Location suited me. Price was good.

Litter outside the building. Frighteningly noisy lift/elevator. Overpriced restaurant and wine (very poor value for money, particularly the wine) Breakfast (we prepaid) was offered up to 0930am. However by 0900 it was almost non-existent, no sausages, one slice of bacon, one egg, a bit of scrambled egg, two tomatoes, a few mushrooms, a few baked beans, all cold. There were plenty of hot hash browns. Croissants all gone. Very poor. Fruit was available, as was cold ham, obviously not popular. Coffee was good. Orange juice was good. By 0930 when the final guests arrived they had no choice of cooked breakfast. At 0945, after the breakfast “deadline”, the cooked breakfast was suddenly replenished (sausages, eggs, bacon etc but no guests to eat it) Very disorganised. Cutlery ran out. Hot water in basin and shower of our room was too hot. (Could not adjust shower to lower temperature) Light bulbs flickering in room (needed replacing) Bed was comfortable and sheets/towels clean and adequate.

The facilities have been reduced like most hotels in the UK since our last visit. And the wet weather meant flooding in the car park.

The room was shabby and the smell of the room and hallway on the floor was nearly unbearable. It smelt like half cleaned, damp, mouldy carpet. There was one treadmill in the gym and it didn’t work.

The breakfast was nice and staff were friendly.

Food quality was poor in parts. The meats and ham etc looked like the cheapest quality. The same could be said of the sausages. The supposed hot food was barely warm and the scrambled eggs were very poor. They looked like powdered eggs. Toilet roll was of the thinest poorest quality. Window latch missing so couldnt close the window. The lifts were not working and there was no notice on them to say they were out of order. I ordered a meal from the restaurant which was also poor.

Was still in refurb limited selection of drinks at the bar no access to the garden restaurant was odd no service we was told to go to the pub attached the poachers for food

When we got Into the room the windows were closed and the heating was on. It was unbearably hot. We had to complain twice before they did anything it seemed everyone in the hotel was complaining and the air con wasn't working either. They did in the end turn off the heating.

Run down, lift not working, room stank of smoke disguised with air freshener so had to sleep with window open and froze, heating broken, walk to room was dirty and carpet threadbare on staircase. Piles of broken furniture and rubbish in bags and rats at side of property. Staff let down by best western hotels at hotel is a mess. Photos online are of the places that are passable in the hotel.

The location was near to my destination. Room was clean and bed comfy. Staff were lovely their mental health must be suffering with people complaining.
