Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesCould be cleaner. Asked for a quiet room with a view but didn’t get my request. Cooked breakfast not good at all - other options OK. Very noisy in cafeteria.
Helpful staff who gave us good information and welcomed us. Available 24/7!

CanadaThe pillows are very thin. Also, sometimes it could be a bit noisy in the corridors after 22h....some customers don't seem to realize that some others are already sleeping.
Well situated, nice and quiet environment. Staff at the reception are very sympathetic and helpful. The breakfast buffet is awesome and delicious. Everything is at a walkable distance if you don't mind walking 2 km. Confort is basic, but quite good.

Friendly staff, small kitchen with jug and toaster, able to check my bags on last day so I could spend day out. 20 min walk to High Street. Good bed and pillows.

Extremely clean, well put together rooms. Comfortable beddings, fresh towels - and a buffet breakfast included was cherry on top. On-campus laundry came in very handy and the folks at reception answered all questions patiently and enthusiastically.

United KingdomRoom could have been cleaner - it was adequate (by my standards) but definitely not spotless There was a common room next to mine. Originally it was shut, but on one night it was opened to allow a group of youngsters to use it, which was really noisy.
Everything as I expected from Uni accommodation. Bonus was the central location and frequent bus service.

GermanyStudent dormitories are built on the "rabbit warren" principle. Corridors and rooms are well-lit and clearly marked, but if, like me, you're prone to feeling claustrophobic, bear this in mind, as it isn't possible to choose a room near the stairs/lift.
Student accommodation, empty during summer break. 2-bed rooms (can be booked as a single). Brilliant breakfast buffet. Bus stop "Commonwealth Pool" has regular busses to city centre. Good pub for dinner/drinks across the street. Modern rooms with WC + shower. Generous amount of plug sockets for chargers. Room allocation is random - not a problem, as all rooms are identical. Stairs and elevators to all floors. See pic for view from window.

The staff are fantastic. At first I was given a room with quilts everywhere which was a mess. I communicated with the receptionists, they were very helpful and upgraded me to a much better room for free. Before giving me the new room, they let a staff to check the room to make sure everything looks all right. I enjoyed a lot with the room and the breakfast buffet.

GermanyA suggestion, not a critique. With long, winding dorm corridors and few windows, I can get a bit claustrophobic if the room is a long way from the lifts. I know that room distribution is random, but I'm wondering if people with such conditions could request something nearer to an exit?
The breakfast hall was a hit with the 16 year old. So much choice, with things she'd never tried before. Her mother said their 13 year old boy would also be ecstatic - they'll be returning with Dad next summer! Also, prices are reasonable enough to book a single room for each kid (an added luxury).

United KingdomI have nothing to complain. I struggled to find a reception but it was because I was coming from a wrong side of the area. Also, the room was very hot but it was only because of the unexpected very hot weather which is not usual in Scotland.
The room was very simple but clean. There was a good choice of food for breakfast. Overall a good stay for its price. Not far from the city centre.

CanadaThe carpets are extremely dusty and smelly so we spent as little time as possible in the room. We would not stay there again because of that. Also, there's a permanent queue at the front desk. Expect to wait, especially around check-in time (3 PM), when you will wait at least 30 minutes. The place is a bit away from the center and up a steep hill, but it's easy to reach by bus.
Our room was quiet. Breakfast is good, traditional English style in a large canteen buffet, so you can stuff your face with eggs, beans, mushrooms, crumpets, croissants, cereals, fruits, yogurt, etc. OK coffee. Many reviews overstate the quality of the breakfast. Large property with a nice garden where you can sit and relax. Super nice staff.
