A good value for the money. Double check what the accommodations offer when you book a single room.

We had two different rooms. They were not in the same building. My single room did not have a television or any soap, coffee pot/kettle.

l liked the location. it was in a quiet area that was easily accessible by bus.

The grounds of Pollock Estate were peaceful and beautifully kept. The campus had a relaxed bar and the food served was plentiful. The bedroom, even though evidently a university one, was clean and fresh. Nice touch with kettle and coffee & tea sachets available. Communication with reservations was excellent and check-in was quick and easy.

Very professionally-run student room accommodation in a lovely university grounds setting! Amazing to see how many guests were catered for. The breakfast options were quite extensive and tasty, in a student cafeteria / restaurant style with trays. Good walking distance to the city centre. Would recommend to anyone, as an experience in itself!

The dorm is about a half an hour walk from the center of town, which is not too bad--unless you are in a real hurry (such as when the taxi you call from town either does not answer the phone or, if you don't use the reception's hotline, never shows up!).

Our room was clean and comfortable; the window opened enough to let in a breeze. The staff were very responsive when I requested a new fitted sheet on my bed--the one that was on there was too short and popped off at night. They not only changed that sheet, they changed all our linens while we were out for the day. It was great to be able to walk over to the cafeteria for the ample breakfast (included) and to the reasonably priced restaurant for dinner when we did not feel like going into town. The reception area has a phone with a direct taxi hotline--this saved us in at least two situations when we had to be in a certain place at a certain time. Lastly, the dorm has laundry facilities in the basement and is situated in what is basically a botanical garden, which made for lovely walks.

After traveling for over 24hours, it was wonderful to be greeted by suck friendly staff, and have a much needed good nights sleep. This was topped off with a great breakfast to have me set for a day of exploring in Edinburgh.

Pollock Estate is very good value for money. Not fancy, but for the price wonderful, clean and comfortable. Only negative is that it's quite a walk from Waverley Station when dragging international luggage with you. I would recommend looking as some form of transport if travelling with luggage. Breakfast was an amazing spread, something for everyone.

Make sure you get your coffee as early as possible from the restaurant as it runs out very quickly but they don’t refill it frequently.

Great value! I paid only $100 a night during the busiest time of the year with free breakfast provided! The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean and the mattress is comfy. I am very satisfied with their breakfast — variety of food options with many kinds of beverages and bread spread provided.

Parking was free but a little difficult as we had to park in staff car park, where there were loads of places but it stated Staff only. Otherwise all good. Could guest be offered these spaces.

Check in was good and welcome. Rooms for the money were excellent, clean and functional. Good shower, good towels and beds were comfortable. Good location with a good restaurant and facilities with food at reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast.
