Room's ceiling light was a bit wonky (didn't always light up) and sink light didn't work, but those weren't anything close to being deal breakers. Some shampoo/shower gel would have been nice.

It was just as advertised. Nothing fancy, but enough for sleeping. Bed was ok.

Room very basic. No facilities for making coffee/tea etc.

Breakfast was very good. Effectively an all you can eat breakfast. Very good location. 1/2 walk to city centre. 5 mins from Holyrood Park/Arthur's Seat. Excellent price for Edinburgh in the summer.

The Fire Alarm was activated at 12.30am everyone got out of the digs in 10 mins. No Fire Marshals or no body about to tell us what was going on. False Alarm thank god. But could have been handled a bit better.

The Breakfast was excellent and had a lot of variety. Nice large dining area with plenty of room.

The water pressure in the shower was quite weak, and the pillows were very thin.

The staff were all lovely, and very accommodating - an extra key card was a massive help during our stay. The room was a good size and clean with good storage, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic value for money.

I know this is a power saving thing but it was a little creepy - the lights in the hall only came on if you stepped into the hall. I love the power saving aspect but it did take a little getting used to.

Breakfast was fantastic! The rooms are exactly what you think when you think of college dorm rooms but very clean and nice that there was a sink and a desk inside the room.

Nothing was complaint-worthy at all. Maybe the pillows could have been better but, honestly, unless you'd asked I wouldn't've thought about it.

The shared bathrooms were sometimes not stocked with toilet paper or the paper was stuck inside the dispenser, which could be concerning if you don’t noticed before going. The current dispensers should be replaced with normal roll dispensers.

Great value for money as a solo traveller. Morning Brekky was excellent and the location was near lovely walks around Arthur’s seat.

One morning, the breakfast was well stocked. The second morning, there was hardly any fruit (despite being even earlier). The breakfast refectory is rammed, though I did just about manage to find a seat. The stay was fine, but with all Scottish accommodation- there's a value for money issue with the nightly rate for what you get.

Beautiful surroundings Nice view out of room window. I stayed in Chancellors Court and the room was mostly clean and modern (there was a lot of dust under the bed which I found when picking something up). Absurdly warm room, even with radiator switched off. Thankfully, I could open the window but not at night as on the ground floor. The accommodation is fine, but Scottish prices are so high for what you get. Good location. Easy for festival access. Took me 28 mins or so to train station on foot - through busy city centre therefore an enjoyable walk.

Although happy to share bathroom facilities (rooms have a wash basin) it would have been nice if the toilet rolls were regularly checked and replenished...

Helpful staff, having arrived a little later than anticipated due to appalling traffic delays, I managed to get something to eat and drink on campus.

The walls are very thin so you can hear everything in the other room. Shower had soap in it that had hair all over it and the shower gel wasn't topped up
