The area was super nice and the room was quite spacious and comfortable. It was very easy to hop on the bus right in front of the gate and get to the city center. The food was also great! I would definitely recommend this for the summer.

It is was stated on the site that you can pay in cash. Nevertheless, in reality, they prefer you paying by card. You can still pay in cash but be sure that you have an exact amount of money.

The breakfast was really tasty and nutritious. We’ve also been happy with accommodation. A lot if sightseeings were within walking distance.

Our room was really smelly, I think someone had spilled milk on the carpet and it was never cleaned properly. There was also huge patches of mould on the sealing of the shower.

Close to Waverly and affordable. Easy to find, Google maps took us to the wrong entrance, if you arrive via bus, you need to head towards the main road down to Hollyrood Park and it's much easier to find. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable.

Even if the room was very simple, it was clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. You can easily get to the city center by bus. I would recommend a day ticket.

My husband wears hearing aids so a quieter area would have been ideal.

Beds a bit on the hard side, but worst was doors slamming 24 hours. Doors or walls did not stop any sound. Not worth 100pounds plus as we paid.

I red so many positive comments about how clean the rooms are but I had a different experience. Stains on the chair , floor and visible stain on the bedsheets!

Facility quite basic, no USB charger.

I like the university halls environment. Very helpful and friendly staff throughout. breakfast was very nice and have v good variety. The bar also opens until 11pm.

Orange duvet covers like a hostel, broken loo seat, lamp with faulty wiring, a complete lack of hoovering. Housekeeping lacking. Very hard beds. Expensive for what it was, we only stayed there because we were looking at the university. We stayed in Newcastle the following night for £40 less and it was considerably more comfortable and much better breakfast.

canteen breakfast was efficient but institutional, check in pretty good with clear information, leafy surroundings and great views of the hills. Room was quiet.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. No plug near the mirror so couldnt see to dry my hair. The price was rather high for the standard of accommodation.
