It was a bit loud because of a group staying at the same level as me, but that's to be expected in a big university accommodation I guess.

Breakfast was excellent. The staff was really helpful with every request and the 24hr reception was a great added bonus. The location was perfect for visiting the city, but away from the crowds.

Lovely location, very quiet and calm, but still super close to the city center. The facilities were all very clean, and staff was helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious for the price.

There's really nothing that needs improving in this property - it's definitely not for romantic get-aways, but it's also not marketed as such. It's absolutely perfect for groups of friends or family traveling together. The one tiny downside may be the parking situation if you have a car? We had 2 cars, and it was first come, first served with the parking, but we were actually able to find parking all the days we were there.

I was a little skeptical when a family member suggested we book in university dorm rooms, lol - but it was such a cool place to stay!! The campus is gorgeous, the staff is so friendly and helpful (and available 24/7 which is perfect), the rooms are nothing fancy, but perfectly sufficient - 2 single beds (more comfortable than I expected), a little desk/shelves, window seating area, closet, and a private bathroom/shower (I think this was an upgrade? We chose a suite). We were traveling with our college-aged daughter and her friend, and my parents, and then my husband and me, so it was fun having the 3 rooms and kinda "playing university" again ;) The campus has a fun little bar/pub for happy hour, and a really amazing full hot breakfast buffet every morning - a really great value to be included with the room! Being in a setting like this, with hundreds of other travelers from all over the world was a really neat, very unique experience - and so close to all the fun things in Edinburgh!! Will definitely be back :)

A bit far from the city centre. Sometimes we used cabs, we didnt walk. And the fact that beds were separate.

I loved the comfortable bed, after a terrible night of flight delays etc i really needed a good rest and yes bed was soo comfy 😉. Loved the view from our window, all that lush green and the peace and quiet.

The room was average at best and the laundry facilities confusing.

The breakfast was exceptional and would stay there again specifically for that. We also saw a fox which was nice and the mandarins at breakfast was a highlight.

Bathroom could be better clean up. There was quite a lot mould in the shower and sink area was not tidy properly. We also recommend to vacuum the room more.

We could accommodate earlier than we expected. Location and premises are really nice. Even vegans can choose from breakfast options.
