No tomato sauce available at dinner time or at breakfast and it was over half an hour wait for our breakfast which was rather small for the amount charged

Food in the restaurant was ok and my steak was cooked to perfection.

Was very basic! No mini fridge for longer stays, no drawers no cupboard , nowhere to store your clothes so living out of suitcase! Corridors and stairs were very grubby and in need of a good shampoo! The room was very clean though

The pub and restaurant were great but the ‘ hotel’ was very basic! Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Didn’t really enjoy being in a disabled room although accept it may have been the only room available. My work colleague loved the same type of room which was opposite me as he has some health issues so the room made his stay very comfortable indeed.

Spacious, comfortable and hot drinks available after a 4 hrs drive.

Lack of attention to request for twin beds. Request made on booking.com and on subsequent email that day for twin beds and still allocated a double Not a big problem in scheme of things as we had thermarest & bedding which we could bring in from car but disappointing response to specific requests made on booking. Fire alarm going off in middle of night did not help with staff from nearby restaurant unsure how to deactivate. Nonetheless good value for money

Bed hadnt been changed. Remote control for tv in the bed with lots of dark hairs in the middle of the bed... night porter starting at 10.30 so no help until then. Given new bedding and had to change the bed then at 11.15pm and my toddler couldnt get settled then which spoilt our day out the following day. Very disappointed

We booked online, ,then got an e mail to check in online, which we did. There was a message boxe so we put in our arrival time and asked to book a table for food for 19.15. The booking never happened. The lady in the pub said " oh that was only hotel messages" ! The room was cold when we arrived.

The roomy was comfy and food ok. Wifi was fine once you went through sign in process.

Ok for a one night stay. Be wary when booking a twin room or expecting traditional Sunday lunch.

I’d asked 3 times before obtaining the key at check in is it a twin room and having brought suitcases up stairs ( no lift ) to the room in question the door wouldn’t open. Was told I was given the wrong room so given another key to another room. It turned out to be a double room. So back to reception again and another room which was on the ground floor and finally they got it right! ( blaming Booking. Com and no apology to me or my friend who has arthritic knees and was very tired from going up and downstairs struggling with luggage). Furthermore, I was offered a 30% discount on food in the restaurant in an email so I reserved a table for Sunday lunch. I was then later told that all Sunday dinner had ran out before 2pm, so ended up eating junk food again on my travels. Does a meal consisting of fresh vegetables exist in England anymore 🤷‍♂️

Quiet location, easy to find and bed was comfortable enough for the price paid.

You gotta be joking, the bed the food the stairs. The suitcase Rack holder. The invisible one. The lack of lights especially near the door where the coat hangers hide in the gloom. The nineteen fifties toilets in the restaurant including lack of light and cleaning.

If you served the breakfast on a saucer it would looked better as the bits look lost on a normal plate. Halving a bacon rasher and serving both pieces does not make 2 rashers. The tomato and black pudding were not only cold but never cooked. The app for online booking of the breakfast does not work and the staff are aware so you have to pay premium prices. The pancakes were Chalky white and the yoghurt and fruit were missing the advertised honey. And a load more comments but I am as board with the review as the staff were with hiserving us.

Room wasn’t as clean as it should have been, e.g. toilet needs descaling. Not enough toilet paper or teabags - ended up having to buy some from local store as no one came in to check the room and top up whilst we were there. Room felt slightly damp.

Quiet location within convenient distance of Blists Hill. Pub next door was convenient fir an evening meal. Check in / out process was slick. Bed was comfortable.

Manager made my husband pay again even thought we'd paid through Booking.com and my husband explained that. No phone call to Booking.com he just refused my husband the room for night if he didn't pay!!! This was at 8pm on a Sunday night! Would have been awful if this happened to someone who didn't have the money in their account

The bath didn’t seem very clean, stains on shower curtain and no anti-slip mat in the bath - very slippy! There was a stain on my bed sheet too. No staff on reception so when we arrived it was all locked up - I didn’t see the poster for about 5 minutes that says to go over to the pub to check in - that was a bit annoying as not very clear. Not sure if hotel contractors or council but they were strimming the grass right outside the window before 9.30am on a bank holiday morning!

Good location near Telford. Bed was comfy - mattress not too soft which is a bonus for me. 2 single beds for the kids which is better than a double sofa bed you get in other hotel rooms.
