Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs there was a microwave - a tea towel and washing up liquid would help especially with the cups and plates.
The location was good for our family reunion in Worthing. The room was comfortable with some facilities - although the information said the hospitality tray would be replenished daily but it wasn't! The heating was not adequate in the cold but the owner did come out and rectify the situation.

United KingdomA used towel was left on the towel rail when we arrived. Room was small. No teaspoons provided. Cables and extension sockets around which looked unsightly. No cover on the bathroom light, so can see all the wiring. Cobwebs here and there.
The bed was comfy. Nice big and bright bathroom.

United KingdomThe accommodation has some damp issues, you can smell it upon entry and they have dehumidifiers plugged in to remove some of the damp. The shower was blocked so water was draining away very slowly, probably it’s just a shower trap blockage not been addressed. If you stay in summer I’m sure it’s much better, being December it was chilly, there is heating but you cannot turn it above 20 degrees and it turns off randomly. Please be aware that disabled people may struggle here, there’s a raised area not ideal for wheelchair users.
The accommodation is fairly basic but overall it’s comfortable, it’s nice to have a sofa and microwave as well as the standard tea and coffee making facilities. Parking should right outside which is handy.

United KingdomThe main problem no heating on when we arrived at 4pm. It was cold. We turned the radiator on but didn’t understand the thermostat, rang contact number and to be fair the got back to us very quickly and explained. The problem was it took hours to get the room warm. I think the heating needs to be put on before guests arrive, especially in cold weather.
The area was fine, it was on our way home after visiting family.

United KingdomThis may be unique to the room (one) that I was in, but the room I had was in two levels due to a low ceiling beam on the upper level where the bed is (about a foot higher than the lower. Although there is a small "Mind your head" notice, the beam is at 1.68m. I am 1.8m tall and hit my head three times (one pretty hard) on the beam...you just don't see it because your eyes look down at the lower floor when you go from the bed area to the living space....you will have little chance of seeing it in the night...really annoying and pretty painful. I'd recommend a covering of some sort. The toilets work on a macerator basis so if someone uses their loo in the night you are likely to be woken by the noise of their macerator working. I got up early (05.30 a.m) and used the shower...my unit is likely to have disturbed others. I'm not given to writing negative reports but I think these items are significant.
The self-service facility worked well (key code to get in) and I was advised in advance as promised. The property is set in the middle of Findon, a quaint village, with very easy access to pubs etc.

United KingdomI have stayed her before but this time was disappointing - fire alarm went of for half an hour and I fell into the room because of the horrible half step. There is a warning sign which you can’t see in the dark - despite this however didn’t expect a half step! Struggling now with a badly sprained ankle!
