Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing not to like !
The food is absolutely divine, the service was perfect and Dawn is so warm and a fabulous host! Three of us dined in the restaurant , had 3 different mains and everyone was blown away by their meal. Also great wines and the cheeseboard was spot on. The room was comfy and immaculate! I can't wait to come back!!

Everything was good.
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a lovely chat with the owners over some drinks in the evening and had a hearty fry up in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet despite being near the main road. Thanks for a great stay!

It was all good.
we were going to Le Manoir for lunch and wanted somewhere close by to stay. The owner sorted out a cab for us and let us drop our bags early.

The only little thing was a slight privacy issue when the curtains at the window were open, but Dawn already has plans to address this.
Rooms are in a building next to the pub and recently refurbished to a very good standard and very comfortable. Our bathroom is a wet room so step free access to the shower, with plenty of hot water. Dawn, our host, was very helpful and replied to my queries through the message system very quickly. She and the rest of the pub staff were very pleasant and food service was excellent. We didn't have breakfast because we had booked an early Sunday lunch. Just as well as it was a big plate of food and delicious, with perfectly cooked veg and an extra jug of gravy.

There wasn’t a lot of parking but we got the last space at the back which was very muddy. Later on we moved the car to the front when the lunchtime crowd went.
The bedroom was lovely and comfortable and the shower was good. Everywhere looked very clean. The owners were very friendly and the staff were very good.

The rain but that was out of the hotels hands !!!
Everything about our stay was great. We were down visiting friends near by. Had a fantastic evening meal and equally good breakfast. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The owner, didn't get her name unfortunately, was a star, even when I locked my key in the room, then came back for my left phone. Will definitely stay again.

Good cooked breakfast. Dinner in the evening was very good for Pub food, slow roast shoulder of lamb, vegetarian cheese and spinach parcel another time. The X8 bus makes it quick and cheap to get to the centre of Oxford.

Nothing could be better.
The breakfast was fantastic - my husband had the full English which was fantastic and I had a poached egg and sausages. In fact you could ask for any combination you fancied. There was also cereal and toast. I nearly forgot to say there was also great barista quality coffee !

Really enjoyed our stay at the Fox and Goat. Very nice clean rooms, and excellent breakfast. The staff here couldn’t have been nicer, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

A little narked by the charge for extra custard - be warned the jug it comes with is quite small. Busy road outside but there are a couple of quirt lanes to walk the dog
Accommodation in separate building so no 'pub' noise. Food menu great and food too. Staff dog friendly. No dogs in Restaurant .Could have eaten outside in their big garden but we chose the Bar. Cooling box in room was great for keeping our water cold overnight. Breakfast was whatever you wanted :)
