Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesStop everything, read this and realize that you must book yourself a room in this place if you are lucky enough to find one... So let's start by saying that the area is of course pastoral, green and spectacular but it is not really unique. The beautiful, clean and comfortable house is not the point either (although I have to mention the small refrigerator in the room which is something you don’t usually find in almost any B&B in Scotland). Well the special thing of this place is definitely JANE. From the first moment we got in we felt at home . We received everything we wished for and far beyond, and all with a broad smile and with so much care that showed us that we are welcome and wanted and not just as customers. She offered us a cup of any style coffee or tea anytime she saw us , small treats that await you in the room every day and other gestures that you won’t get anywhere else… You return from a long day of hiking and there is Jane, waiting for you with a hot Cappuccino and a piece of cake, asking you about your day… And a word about the breakfast…oh-my-god. This woman definitely knows what she's doing...breakfast is a special experience by itself. Whatever we chose from the rich menu, we loved : if it's a rich bowl of fresh cut fruits , eggs in an impressive variety, hot drinks on a different quality level and much more, everything is very tasty and beautifully served. In short, do yourself a favor and grab a room at this place.Tthere are many beautiful rooms. But you won't find Jane anywhere else… Thank me later.

Jane was an exceptional host! She prepares amazing breakfasts and her home is warm and inviting. The rooms and shared areas are clean and fully stocked with all the appropriate amenities. Additionally, she is so knowledgable about Skye and pointed us in the right direction on how to plan our itinerary. We had an amazing stay and would 100% come back! Thank you, Jane!

The location was perfect and Jane (the host) absolutely wonderful. The hospitality was top notch. Both Jane and her daughter were very helpful with planning our itinerary to make sure we got the most out of our stay. The breakfast was amazing and our visit was just lovely all round. Tip: order the (vegan) banana pancakes for breakfast. You won't regret it.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing!!
Jane was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble. We were treated to fresh daily milk in our room with a selection of cold drinks and snacks in the mini fridge and a cuppa as soon as we came through the door AND a cream scone. Wow .. talk about leaving the best till last. This was our final stop on our way home after 12 days doing the NC 500 and by far the best ( we stayed in some very expensive and posh hotels) Jane made us feel like family and tge bed and bed linen was outstanding. Thank you so much Jane. Xx

ChinaKeep it as what it is now.
Our stay for two nights at Glendale View was more than just two nights of staying/sleeping/breakfast but a home-feeling of being taken good care of. From the warm welcome at our arrival (which normally after a long drive) with tea/coffee and the Host’s nice homemade scone, to the well prepared breakfast layout, good choice of morning music, and of course, the very cosy living room and conversation with the host for travel tips. You can feel how much of the preparation behind for such a quality of services. You feel that you are now with a strong local host behind where ever you are going to in Skye. We even told other shop owners at Glendale that we are from Glendale View, every one knows the Host. It’s a really nice place to be if you are exploring the west part of Skye. Do not miss here.

SpainHaving to leave :) I wish we could have stayed more days!
From the moment we arrived at this lovely retreat on the Isle of Skye, we knew we were in for a truly exceptional experience. Nestled in the serene northern reaches of the island, this hidden gem exceeded every expectation we had. Jane, the host of this extraordinary establishment, greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel like family. Her impeccable attention to detail and infectious sense of humor made our stay even more charming. The accommodation itself was a paradise of comfort and style. Every corner of the house had a sense of freshness and modernity, reflecting a meticulous level of care and upkeep. We were upgraded to a luxurious King Size room, with a super comfortable bed to rest after each journey. One breathtaking aspect of our stay was the awe-inspiring views that surrounded us. From the windows of our room and the conservatory where we would have breakfast, we could enjoy Skye's natural beauty, with landmarks like Neist Point near to explore. Jane's thoughtful gestures added a delightful touch to our experience. From the welcoming tea and lemon cake to the well-stocked fridge filled with refreshing drinks and treats, every detail was designed to make us feel pampered and cherished. And let's not forget the breakfast – it surpassed even the most luxurious hotel spreads. Each morning, we indulged in a feast fit for royalty, with perfectly cooked eggs, succulent salmon, and the most heavenly bacon imaginable. Not to mention the delicious granola, yummy! What truly set this experience apart was Jane's insider knowledge of the area. She provided us with lots of recommendations for exploring the surrounding area, suggesting hidden gems and must-see sights that we really enjoyed visiting. In conclusion, if you're seeking an unforgettable retreat on the Isle of Skye, look no further.

Jane is the perfect host. The first question after we arrived: Would you like a tea or coffee? What a wonderful welcoming. The bed was big and very comfortable. The breakfast just delicious, with a large variation and really enough to bring you through the whole day. The house is remote, but it is very quite. Jane is a really nice women with a good sense of humor. We would recommend that B&B highly and stay there anytime again. Thank you so much Jane for these two wonderful nights. Claudia and Ralph

Czech RepublicThe water pressure in the shower was really poor, I preferred to wash my hair in the sink :D I would have liked more storage areas/extra table in the room, but I understand that there is not enough space for that
Jane was a great host, she advised us on various trips and experiences. The breakfasts were very tasty. We also ordered dinner, which we also liked very much. The beds were heavenly fabulous. There was plenty of storage space in the bathroom.

United StatesHonestly, there isn't really anything we didn't like. Jane went above and beyond in her hospitality.
We felt at home as soon as we walked in and were greeted by Jane and her daughter Liv. The drive over was as expected since we had read the extremely detailed guide that Jane shares with guests before arrival - several tips were so helpful as we managed driving on single lane roads with loads of sheep and a few potholes. We were lucky to have dinner in the conservatory the first night - if you can request it ahead of time the conservatory is just beautiful with views of the green fields all around you and Jane is a great cook. Breakfast was also terrific. Beds were very comfy and the rainfall shower terrific. We loved the location as it was very close to Neist Point, Three Chimneys (which was incredible) and Dunvegan Castle. Plus it was a nice reprieve from the very busy other side of the island.

IrelandDue to poor planning and the remote location we did not give ourselves enough time to travel to Glendale and a late check in at this location would disturb the other guests.
Very clean and comfortable room. A kettle and coffee machine were provided. Comfy little scottish blankets were a nice touch from the Sky Weavers next door. Bathroom was great with shower and all the necessities even little makeup remover cotton pads and q-tips. The host was lovely and very friendly.
