United KingdomThe main door locks at night. No one answered the bell or the phone number on the main desk. Was unable to get medication from my car until the morning. Bar food very poor and expensive over £8 for a sandwich that was very disappointing wafer thin ham and bread with stale crisps. Breakfast was a let down. The server came out with cold baked beans and the food wasn’t very hot.
Good size room. Very clean and quiet. Friendly and cheerful bar staff. The staff make your stay warm and welcoming.

Decor slightly dated Breakfast could have been warmer and tea/coffee machine didn't have milk on day 1 Lack of plug sockets generally, and some made a buzzing sound so avoided Couldn't get shower to warm up past child lock, and bathroom floor very cold.

United KingdomThe staff were great, from top to bottom. The breakfast was about average, and I feel overpriced by comparison. No lift! I did experience problems getting my luggage up to the room - down some stairs and up some stairs. A bad choice of site, I felt, for a hotel, not made any better by very heavy rain for most of my stay. The water gathered in the car park in from of both the ramp and the steps down to the hotel, where I had to ruin my shoes yet again to cross the pond at the front door. Very bad architectural design. The room was rather pokey in relation to the price. It was also rather noisy on Saturday night. It's location was not at all what I expected. Unfortunately at the my visit it was right in the middle of a one way roadworks system, which did not help. Their signage was very poor, but one of the local residents helped me out. I was surprised that residents had to pay an additional parking fee

United KingdomThe breakfast buffet. Not much variety and trays left empty till you asked! Eg no bread for toast, no milk for cereal, no tomatoes etc... tables not laid properly for next guest. Considering it was all self service staff should be attentive to food availability! I complained and Steven manager at reception refunded my breakfast.
The spa facilities were perfect. Steven at reception was extremely helpful when I had to complain about breakfast.

The cleaning lady was consistently banging on the door at 9 a.m., making us feel like we had to rush to check out, which felt pushy. There was no bottle of wine or fizz in the room that came with the booking when I booked.
Loved the pool, breakfast, room size, and bed is comfortable.

United KingdomBit annoyed that the hotel says 3pm, and we couldn't check-in at 3pm, because 'the room wasn't ready'. Didn't get much other information and was frustrating when you've booked a property expecting to check-in and use the room from the time we've paid for. The reception was nice but we were told to wait in the bar and it could have been nice to be offered a complimentary soft drink, seeing as we were waiting around while we were thinking we could have been in the room by that point, and had paid for the room from 3pm on check-in until 11am on check-out. Also the wait at check-in is very frustrating when you've checked-in online and are waiting for the keycard, and other people haven't checked-in online and so this meant everyone had to wait anyway.
Nice comfy and clean room, polite staff, nice that the spa was included on both days of the stay and it's a good size spa.
