Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRestaurant had a large party and no availability for other guests to dine for a 2 hour period. Reception guy took forever to check me in and wasn’t particularly friendly. Room was just standard nothing special. Have to pay additional for parking (only£5) but when you’re paying £150 a night you expect this to be included. Overall wasn’t exactly luxury or overly pleasant. Just standard and overpriced. I’ve stayed in better 3 stars and certainly better 4 stars.
Swimming pool / sauna etc fairly nice (changing rooms not great. More like a standard leisure centre).

United KingdomThe shower curtain I had was ripped. Walking towards my room I couldn't but not notice all the walls and doors are bashed into and marked, feels dated and worn out. Needs some TLC.
The staff are all nice and friendly.

United KingdomThe bath mat wasn’t clean. One of the rooms was cold and we couldn’t use the heating system. Shower parts popped off when using them. Parts of the hotel was shabby. Children cant use the pool after 10am which was not helpful as breakfast was between 7:30 until 11am. This spoilt the weekend really as we wanted to enjoy the spa facilities. Breakfast items kept running out.
Very nice on approach. Staff really pleasant & happy to help. Very accommodating. Understanding with slow checking out. Although we was on time.

United KingdomPool is ok (bubble pools and steam/sauna) good but no hot tub. But bizarre design, no access to changing rooms from pool, you have to walk wet through reception. Odd and inconvenient.
Food (breakfast and dinner) were very good and the waiting staff were excellent. Our family room was a very good size.

United KingdomLovely staff, very welcoming! They kept our son's milk in a fridge for us as no fridges are available in rooms. The pool was great for all of us (kids pool + main pool), gym was a good size with varied equipment, and everything was conveniently located. Room was clean and comfy, it did get a bit hot in the night so remember to turn the towel heater down if you don't like the room super toasty (takes a few hours to respond). Food was fine and as expected. The staff brought our food to the room when our little one decided an evening meal in the restaurant wasn't on the cards, and that was really appreciated.

United KingdomThe restaurant was busy with a senior citizens coach trip. The 3 restaurant staff we dedicated to support the trip and others were secondary so I can only assume the Hotel need to please the coach trip booking company which I understand. My company travel to this area 3 or 4 times a year and have tried a few Hotels to identify which one makes our staff most comfortable. We will keep looking which is a shame because the Gym was good.
The Gym and Leisure Facility was very good. Bar and Dining Room comfortable. Room very comfortable and clean.

United KingdomNot sufficient staff to help all guests. Restaurant food was not great, but with relatively high prices. A side dish of Ceasar Salad with 6 leaves of salad, half a sandwich and some cheese for £ 5,- was very expensive. More effort could have been put into this. The wifi was not working on my iPad and slow on other devices. This can be better. Overall not the experience I am used to at BestWestern.
I had higher expectations of the hotel. On arrival I had to pay £ 5,- for the hotel parking. Why? This should be incorporated in the price. Sufficient parking space. The reception staff is friendly. Room size OK and temperature in room was OK. I used the swimming pool, this was somewhat small but OK.

United KingdomThe hotel location is within a large housing estate, which wasn't what we expected and seemed a strange place to find an hotel. Car park at the front of the hotel isn't very big and tricky to navigate, however there are plenty of additional parking spaces within the hotel grounds. The daily £5 parking fee wasn't expected, welcome or felt necessary if one is residing at the hotel. We dined at the hotel restaurant for diner. The child' menu, choice of a main, a side and a dip, had no prices displayed. We also felt that there should be two choices of sides for the children not one side and a choice of a dip. surely having additional veg is preferable to a dip. I looked at the restaurant receipt after our stay and noticed we had been charged almost £5 (£4.75) for onion rings, an item we had not ordered or received, thanks for that. So check your restaurant receipt before leaving. On departure we were unable to hand our key to the receptionist. We waited with another departing family whilst the receptionist' time was monopolised by a young lady in a 'personal trainer' sweater. We along with the other family gave up waiting and just left the key cards on the reception desk. Shame because I wanted to mention the dodgy floor in our room. The bedroom had a very poor floor. squeaks, uneven and there is a small area near the window where its like stepping onto a diving board. Very unsettling when you draw the curtains. It needs sorting.
The hotels swimming pool was very good. Changing rooms, lockers and towels provided. We were able to use this facility prior to checking in to our room. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was larger than those found in other hotel chains we;'ve used in the past. Well appointed, with just one concern, see below. The restaurant was pleasant and relaxing. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice, cereals, fruit, croissants, full english, toast, etc. Excellent poached eggs cooked to order. Quality of the food was very good.
