We loved the location on Westhill providing a great view and good exercise walking down to town. The rooms were beautiful with so much attention to detail and the breakfast very good.

I loved everything about my stay. It was pure bliss. The location was great the, room was beautiful as was the bathroom. Oh and breakfast was lovely. Madeleine was a fab host and I would highly recommend staying there.

Having a separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet didn't really work for me even though the bath and bathroom were a cut above the norm. For the cooked breakfast, it would have better to have more than one item. A large bowl of scrambled eggs or in my case a whole plate of tomatoes is too much. I know it needed to be vegetarian but maybe poached egg, tomato, a hash brown and possibly a veggie sausage would have been much better.

Full of old world elegant, a room with a view. The bed linen was a step above what is usually provided as were the wide selection of toiletries. Fresh orange juice and good quality yogurt were a lovely way to start a breakfast while admiring the view from my room. The owners were informative before my arrival trying to check my trip went well and were prepared to change things when I wasn't keen on scrambled eggs.

High step onto balcolny. Wouldn't be suitable for everyone. Would prefer a later breakfast and slightly later checkout.

Very healthy and tasty breakfast. Maybe a bit too much fruit. Very clean and beautiful decor. Top quality toiletries and lovely soft towels.

The shower could have been a little bigger. You have to climb through the window to get on the small balcony. Lamp in bedroom is hanging low when you are taller than 1,85 m. The towel did not realy pick up the water but was very soft. The bathroomfloor gets slippery when wet.

The room is just as it is shown on the picture. Very good service. Nice experience.

Nothing really. The WC and bathroom were separate to the room we had but they were for our use only and we knew that anyway.

We had an excellent vegetarian breakfast , plenty of it and the owner really made an effort to make it look attractive. The house has great views out of the front as it's on a hill looking over the town. Lovely place to stay!

It would have been outstanding if it was en-suite but Edwardians had a different way of looking at hygiene. I was ok with using the toilet across the landing and separate bathroom.

the host Madeleine was very friendly and helpful with any local information I needed. The room was very clean and beautifully presented with exquisite personal touches. Breakfast was delicious.

There was nothing to dislike.

The whole place was brilliant. The room was spotless. We was served a vegetarian breakfast. This consisted of toast scrambled eggs yogurt honey two glasses of non alchaholic proseco and two glasses of orange juice. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk stored in a mini fridge. You had great views over Hastings from the room. Our room number 1 had its own bathroom. This consisted of a roll top bath and separate shower. Hostess was brilliant. She text us before arrival and told us of all the places to visit including short cuts. Would definitely stay here again . And would recommend anybody to book up and stay here.

The room and private bathroom were both beautifully done, with fantastic views, and the house is in a great spot. In the evening, I was really happy with the warm light from the bedside lights (unusual to see these types of bulbs) and the bed was extremely comfortable! It was a peaceful property, everything was clean and the atmosphere in general was very comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious. Madeleine was helpful, taking the time to explain guest rates on the phone before I arrived and recommending local places to eat.

Only one place close to get food. If you don't want a wood fired pizza (which was delicious) it's quite a trek into the old town as the Edwardian villa is high up on a hill.

The breakfast was fantastic. Beautiful presentation. The room is simply gorgeous. The bathroom is outstanding. All toiletries are provided, as well as tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The complimentary bathrobes are a nice touch.
