Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Saudi ArabiaThe property in South Kensington was very tired. The beds were small and hard, the pillows, the bed linen and towels very old. There was a lack of items in the kitchen and what was there was dirty.
We didn’t actually get to stay in this apartment because when we arrived in London after a long flight we found out the apartment had an issue with carbon monoxide and we could not stay there. To Nathalie’s credit she moved us to an apartment in South Kensington. We specifically wanted to be in Marylebone so this was disappointing but we had no choice. However I will say Nathalie was very responsive and very good to deal with.

United StatesWe had an issue with ants in the kitchen throughout the stay. Our host did come to try and resolve the situation but they persisted. The microwave and a few plates in the kitchen were left dirty from the previous guests. The mattresses were quite flimsy.
The location was excellent and the host very helpful and communicative.

United KingdomWe found the deposit procedure a little inconvenient. It is unusual to carry so much cash around these days. We also changed our plans and wanted to leave an hour earlier but had to wait until the cleaner arrived to return our deposit. A bank transfer would have been a better system.
Excellent location, walkable to many attractions and close to the beautiful Regent's park. Modern interior and exceptionally clean.

FranceIf i have to make some propositions, the kitchen might be more furnished with dishes to cook and to open a bottle of wine for example ;) but nothing really important.
Nathalie had 1h15 late but Nathalie stayed at the flat to welcome us which was confortable. She took time to explain us all we had to know about the flat. The flat is very well located and we could do lots of thinks by walking as the weather was just wonderful. We spent a nice week in London.

ItalyHigh end beautiful apartment in the heart of elegant area, Marylebone. The apartment is set on the first floor in a quiet mansion block and is brand-new and very well presented. We were greeted by the owner at check-in and her cleaner at check-out. We especially loved the extremely high ceilings, sun-filled living room and the beautiful leafy terrace over quiet backyards. We'd love to come back in the summer. Highly recommended.

SwitzerlandChose this apartment for my last two nights in London and I was not disappointed. It is a large beautiful first-floor flat within the elegant residential area of Marylebone. Close to first class shops and restaurants. Hyde Park is just around the corner. The additional privilege of having a nice terrace with beautiful and comfy sofas, made our trip luxurious. The landlord is very kind and helpful: she introduced us to the surrounding environment and solved all the problems for us. There was a little incident halfway, because I wasn't familiar with the house, I mistakenly turned on the heating equipment, causing unnecessary waste, I still want to say I am very sorry, but the landlord was very friendly, and did not care about this matter, next time I will choose to stay!

RussiaBeautiful Victorian-period classy apartment that exceed my expectations and for which pictures do not make justice. Brand-new elegant furnishings with a large stunning terrace in residential area, still quiet yet close to superb shops/ bars/ restaurants of the nearby high street in Marylebone and Marble Arch. Paddington station is also close-by and you can arrive straight from Heathrow airport followed by a short walk. Delightful having Hyde Park round the corner. We loved having a nice patio that is accessible from the living room. The host was caring, helpful and gave us many tips on our London trip about venues and travelling. Flexible check-in and check-out. Would love to be back!

GreeceBeautiful apartment: spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with a gorgeous terrace. You can tell the owner Marble put a lot of care into maintaining it. The space feels welcoming and cozy, with all the amenities you might need for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfy, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of London (this stunning area is called Marylebone, very upmarket), with easy access to public transport, tube and bus stations, great restaurants, cozy cafes, and some of the most famous attractions (Tate Modern and Sherlock Home Museums to mention a few). It made exploring the city so convenient and stress-free. Marble was incredibly kind and responsive, ensuring everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.

United KingdomUnacceptable issues with stay:- Bed linen and especially quilt covers – heavily stained (see attached pic) need destroying and replacing. We found this disgusting, but tried to not let it get to me and ruin our stay completely. Shower head blocked and never been cleaned (see attached pic)– needs descaling Sofa very cheap and uncomfortable, wooden struts poking through top cushion – need replacing Outside terrace unusable – every time it rains it floods, floor not sloping towards drain (see attached pic) Small towels, very cheap and very thin – not big enough to even go round body, so thin they do not absorb much water. Issues with property not as described :- Property information has many inconsistencies and outright untruths listed. Garden flat in posh mews – this is not a garden flat, it’s on the first floor Recommendations:- Soundproofing from upstairs not adequate Upgrade small items in flat to match quality of location and price of apartment to rent e.g. very very cheap low grade bathroom & kitchen accessories – soap dispenser, soap used, toaster and kettle etc. Broken mirror in bathroom Chopping board would be very handy Bin in kitchen should be replaced with one with a lid Heating did not appear to work in living room, only bedrooms.
Location is excellent Host was very helpful until there were issues, then became very unhelpful and started lying about the flat's condition. The property is way too expensive for the quality and lack of basic requirements e.g. unstained bedding

United Arab EmiratesThe heating stoppend in the first and second night, and also some plugs did not work, no hot water in the night and the overhead showerhead is blocked so you have to use the hand shower where the water rinse is also very sparse. The oven needs a good cleans inside. I informed the owner about the electricity problem of the heating and the plugs having an issue in the 3rd evening. For the plugs she told me this is caused by "my foreign devices - sure, my I phone and Macbook;) I arrived for business and medical treatment so I need to wear a mask and specially booked a rental flat to secure safe mask off times. After reporting the issues she told me she would come over and check, I told here she can but please to wear a mask. From that point her tone changed and she was snappy and told me the heating is working properly and I could heat it up to have a "sauna", just a bad tone. In the 3rd morning the ceiling started water down in the kitchen, electricty was off in several rooms, the heating has stopped anyway in the night. I did ask her for a refund, but she only mentioned she could send the plumber one hour before my check out. I did ask for a late checked out and she agreed on keeping the Euro 70 in cash (for 2 hours!!!) Basically the whole electricity had a problem for several days due to the water leak. Finally I felt like leaving a sinking ship.. And, you feel the metro in the flat every time a train is running in the underground and passing.
Nathalie was very friendly at first, specially since I forgot the Euro 200 in cash Deposit and she agreed on Euro 70 instead. I also offered to wire the amount instantly and take any refund costs on me. The area is safe, lots of shopping options.

SingaporeWe paid 550 pounds / night and total over 3500 pounds so we expected a much better quality place and better service but: 1. It’s Much smaller than what the photos are shown; the house was freezing for the first 24 hrs as the heater was only turned on when we checked in; 2. Everything is cheap quality from the cutleries to toasters to kettles and the worst are the mattresses- it’s like sleeping on jello. It sinks all the way to the frame. When one turns, the other will be woken up from being bounced up and down. We had 6 nights of very poor sleep; 3. King size bed is hardly a king size and queen size bed is not really a queen size bed. 4. We asked for extra bed but was given a cheap air mattress; which leaked. We didnt want the same cheap replacement so just let our son sleep on the sofa. But still was charged 120 pounds. The mattress itself probably worths 20 pounds. We paid over 3500 pounds for the whole trip but the hostess was so cheap and so greedy, she insisted on keeping the 120. Just shows the character of the host. 5. Sheets were dirty - we found quite a bit of hair on pillow cases and our bed sheet and we were so grossed out. Not at all what we want to have to deal with after traveling over 20 hours with 3 kids. The host didn’t say a word of sorry and her excuse was she had a new cleaner…. Isn’t it a host’s responsibility to check? 6. The roof leaked on the 3rd day and even though it’s not something the host can control, there was not a single word from her showing her concern about our comfort and experience. We had to deal with leaked roof for 3 days and being accommodating to let her people to come in and check and keep her posted on the damage. Again, not a word of “thank you”. 7. We’ve stayed with many hosts we booked on Airbnb and this is the first time we booked an apartment with bookings.com. Definitely the worst worst experience we’ve ever had
The Marylebone neighborhood where the apartment situated is very quaint.
