Hot water for washing dishes and washing hands in the toilets but the shower was cold! I was frozen to the bone and needed a hot shower but it was unfortunately cold. The office was closed by this time and I wanted to message the owners to see if they could fix this but I had no signal on my phone and there was no WiFi. So couldn’t contact them to rectify this problem.

Location was amazing By the river and under the stars. No light pollution! Was amazing. Was nice and quiet. Was just lush! The heating worked and it warmed up really quickly. I was grateful as it had been very cold outside so it was nice to be inside and very warm. Stayed in many places and this was by far the cleanest which I was impressed with. Especially with it being shared toilets and showers. I just couldn’t get over how clean it was! The owners are super friendly and very nice! Nothing is a bother to them. Very informative information prior to my visit and very responsive to my messages

Cabins were very cute and comfortable, toilet/shower facilities were VERY clean, plenty of firewood was provided for cooking and/or the firepit (for an excellent price), and the "breakfast delivery to the cabin" service added made the whole experience even better. The area around the accommodation is beautiful, both for hikes and short drives, and the host family were some of the friendliest people I ever met. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The paths were a little slippy and there could have been faster alternatives to the cooker in The Snug! But appreciate the traditional way of being and in line with the aesthetic.

That even in winter, this was still a comforting place to be. I also really appreciated how accessible each of the spaces were in proximity to each other - I was expecting more of a track to the bathroom!

Everything about the property was amazing from start to finish. We went to celebrate a birthday and with request they put the decorations up for us without hesitation.

Exceptional, the pods were clean comfy and warm. There was a storm that night and we didn't notice it in our pods. There are clean facilities (toilets and general wash-up area) A cozy communal area and a small Tea-Shack which is stocked up with tea and coffee. We saw a family of red kites flying around, lots of pheasants and hares. Perfect for stargazing and enjoying a slice of nature.

We loved the huts - they were very cosy. The location was lovely-a beautiful view alongside a river with sheep and pheasants. It was also close to the nice town of Ballater.

Getting stuck in the bathroom! (Twice)

Our pod was clean and comfortable with a lovely view we had a picnic bench fire pit and camping chairs outside too. The wood package with the kindling kit is worth buying and the complimentary citronella incense is very thoughtful. We didn’t use the snug as we had gorgeous weather and preferred to be outside listening to the stream, but we did use the tea shack. It’s a lovely spot and the hosts were very nice
