Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was a slightly musty smell in arrival but it may have been due to house being empty for a few days? Smell went after we opened the windows and didn’t return when we closed them again.
Excellent location for exploring the coast and the Lizard Peninsula. Thoughtful welcome. Clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for a few nights away in Cornwall. Good/friendly communication with owners

United KingdomOnly very limited sea view from the upstairs bedroom. Yet it sits behind the old hotel boasting fabulous seaviews.
Coastal walk on the doorstep. Comfortable indoors with good facilities. Plenty of free parking. Suggest you choose the inland start to the coastal path walk, past the sculpture park as the path below the garden heading west is tricky.

A stunning location surrounded by the sea and very peaceful. The property was lovely and very well equipped. The hosts had left some provisions to get us started which was a nice touch. I wish we could have stayed for longer, but we will return.

United KingdomThere are beautiful views to be had only few steps from the property, but not really from the rooms themselves. There is a little outdoor area, offering a wooden pub garden style table with benches, it is right next to the living room's French windows, so you can enjoy the fresh air and some greenery without having to lock up.
The lovely hosts have thought of everything that you might need in terms of arrival, furnishings and kitchen equipment, they also provide abundant worthwhile suggestions and recommendations for places to go and things to do. Above the property and below the adjacent building there is access to the coast path and stunning views. We were using the property as a base for some family business in beautiful Falmouth, about 45 minutes drive away. We went for dinner both nights in Porthleven, which has a wide range of nice places, about 25 minutes drive away.

United KingdomJourneys End was really amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Waking up and opening the bedroom curtains to the lovely view of the ocean made us smile. The cottage has everything you need and the brilliant owners are available if there are any issues. The communication was great. They knew it was our anniversary and left a nice card and tasty truffles for us. We highly recommend and will definitely book again.

United KingdomThe narrow roads are interesting but are part of the experience. If I have to pick one thing it would be good to have a washing machine, dish washer in the house. To be fair there was no additional space in the kitchen. There is a washing machine in the Headland main building with coins.
Location near the coastal path and 10 min walk into Coverack with its restaurants, cafe, grocery store. So peaceful.Good facilities in the house. Owners were excellent, quick to answer questions.

United KingdomThe property host was very rude, and when they saw we were Asian, they changed their behaviour. They behaved like we were their servants. Even though we stayed there for two days, it was very cold, under 5 degrees, but they did not switch on the heating. I asked them so many times over the phone that they shouted at me and did not bother to switch on the meeting. Even though their property was not ready to rent, they put it up for rent. Even their Buth room looked was not working , their shower was out of order , I asked the host she just said she cant do anything .
No breakfast was provided
