Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I asked for a quiet room but it overlooked the road. There was disturbance at night not the hotels fault but wonder if this could have been avoided if I had a room at the back of the hotel

The apartment was small and a small fridge in the apartment would be welcomed.
Amazing employees! They helped me out with last minute adjustments in my reservation and helped me book tickets to London attractions. Good location if you are arriving from Heathrow or by train.

The breakfast was very nice - extravagant and delicious. Also the location was great. If you like to walk, you're close to Hyde Park, but also Oxford Street and the V&A and Natural History Museum. Tube was also close.

The location was perfect. The staff were exceptional, booking cabs for us, flagging cabs outside for us, Paltek in particular was super friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was my sisters birthday & they had put balloons, card & cake in the room for her. Just wonderful.

The rooms could be better. They were small , particularly the bathroom. Also the furniture was old

It was very cramped, especially breakfast, we were nearly sitting on top of each other. The same was true of the bar at night- there was no privacy

The noice from the construction that was in progress . The hotel lacked a bit of atmosphere . There was no one in the bar / restaurant on which lead us to not eating there. The reception area lacks warmt

Breakfast quality was good but options were incredibly limited. Room was surprisingly on the bottom floor and next to public restrooms.
Very beautiful location that is less than 10 minutes from Paddington Station and in between several subway stations. Room was spacious and clean with most necessary amenities. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Rooms are small but that's very common in London. The walls seem to be quite thin as I could hear the guests in the next room chatting in the morning.
It was my second time staying in this hotel. It is very conveniently located in a pretty neighbourhood, close to Paddington Station and Kensington Gardens. The staff was so very friendly. I felt very well taken care of.

Room was quite small and the bathroom also. Shower area was in normal dimensions but the bathroom sink was so small that it was debatable if it was really there or not. This caused us to mess the bathroom floor everytime we used it but at least the cleaning staff was doing a good job. I am not sure if they could have changed the rooms as we didn't bother to ask.
Room and the all facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall service was quite professional and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is expensive but perfectly delicious and the service was excellent. Neighborhood was quite lovely as well.
