The breakfast could be improved with some local higher quality items on the full cooked option.

The hotel staff are all outstanding could not be more friendly or helpful. The hotel as stated in other reviews is dated but it has a huge a amount of charm regardless. Our twin room had a dual aspect view over the bay, lovely.

Views from the hotel are amazing, and you could lose hours just sitting watching the boats and ferries going past the hotel all day.

Single room was quite spacious, however, the furnishings in the room are old and tired and in urgent need of replacement. The bed creaked and groaned with every movement I made and must have disturbed other residents. The electric shower head kept sliding down the pole and was unable to be secured.

Great location, with parking outside. Great cooked breakfast. Good price for the room. Lovely views from dining room and seating area. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Our only gripe is the shower space is small and a little difficult. especially if you have walking difficulty's.

We love the atmosphere in the Lancaster Hotel, they are very friendly and always willing to help. The food is good, the beds are comfy, and the staff are helpful. My sister and I stayed there last year and hopefully will go back next year. Thank you to all the staff

The hotel is next to a Catholic church and it was impossible to have a nap during the day as the clock chimed for about 10mins straight. There wasn't a lot of staff members so we had to wait around for a while if we needed help with something.

The breakfast was lovely. The room was nice and dark when the curtains closed so we could get good sleep. One of the hotel employers Stephanie was very lovely and helpful, she made us feel welcome and comfortable. We liked the view if the sea as we were eating breakfast.

The staff in the hotel were so friendly. Could of talked the ear of a donkey lol. The bed was like sleeping on feathers and the food was just as nice. Could highly recommend this hotel. Great value for money too. The room's are a little outdated but it adds to the experience.

It’s simply shocking. We checked in and checked out within 20 minutes and went to another hotel. It stinks, the rooms we unbelievably bad/dated and no discretion at the reception or bar. Loud staff! We could still smell it on our clothes the next day. Not worth £120 a night in the slightest. Other guests checking in at the same time as us were commenting on it too.

This hotel was appalling....I should imagine the last time it was decorated was in the 70's the bed was disgusting the pillow really lumpy the room was situated above the bar which was loud and noisy and did not close till after 12pm... the staff were noisy whilst clearing up afterwards, all the doors in the hallway on the landing were banging throughout the night, it was cold, the chair was extremely low and uncomfortable, it was not a pleasant experience by any stretch of the imagination, so much so that I did not go back for the two further nights that I was booked in for. This Hotel should be taken off your booking list! I should have realised as soon as I went to the reception desk as the Manager was shouting at the girls to come and see to me..........

Loud water noises all night. It sounded like a drain during a monsoon, but it wasn't raining. I think the mattress was an original one from when the hotel first opened. Door to the room kept no sound out. We could hear other guests passing and talking like they were in the room with us.

The view from the window was fantastic.
