Extremely dated, bed base torn and exposing the filling (beds are from the 40’s), one of the twin beds had a piece of ply under the mattress, both very uncomfortable. All the rest of the furniture also very dated. Torn and stained pillowcases, lumpy duvet. Shower only luke warm and slow to drain away. IPad sized TV. Had to ask for towels, milk & coffee, I could go on…

The only things good about this hotel were the sea view and the lovely receptionist/breakfast waitress.

The property is way too far gone, needs a total revamp from top to bottom, there is literally nothing salvageable. It smells of smoke throughout and I would never stay there again, nor recommend it.

It would have been nice to have the wifi reach my room, but it didn’t detract from the stay too much. Might be an issue for other future guests my age or younger though.

Perfect location, lovely sea view. Very old-school, traditional atmosphere and decor. Fantastic and substantial breakfast with superb service. Reasonably priced bar.

It really is dated but clean. The beds are a bit hard but you get used to them.

Breakfast was excellent and the hard working girls always had a smile on their faces. The view from the dining room is beautiful out across the bay.

false advertising the rooms on your site does not reflect actual rooms ..I booked a smoking room by accident my fault but was unable to change it room was stinking of smoke and wax like stepping back into the 70’s disgusting carpet and furniture had to carry boiling kettle across the room to use it

Our room was clean but horribly dated, the bath was badly stained and toilet flusher didn’t work properly, nothing in the toilet was an acceptable standard for 2022. A notice in the hotel said rooms were priced from £32 per night but we were charged £96.65 because it was the last and worst room available

Our bed was comfy and the only positive thing in our room. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. Staff were lovely

Very poor standard. Very shabby and the smoking room smelled very bad. So bad that we did not stay and drove home for 2 hours after the concert we attended. We are non smokers but this was the only option available so we booked it. Promised windows would be opened to air the room. This did not happen. Could hear conversations and music from room next door so no sound proofing. Shocking standard of room. In dire need of upgrading. Will not be back or recommending to anyone.

WiFi didn't reach my room, which was annoying. There was a pretty grim stained up chair in my room too. Room lights were really weak and made the place look like a dingy basement.

The room carpet not clean towels threadbare. Stairs to steep made worse by firedoor being hard to open. Hotel needs some TLC.
