Lovely staff, lovely breakfast and a magnificent view of busy Oban Bay from the Restaurant.

The hotel was a bit run down. But to be fair, I think you could probably say that about most Seaside Hotels all over the UK.

Breakfast was excellent. We had the full Scottish Breakfast. would recommend The Kippers and the Porridge. No waiting as we had ordered the night before.

The hotel is a bit tired, and the shower had low pressure and needs some TLC in general, but it was excellent value for money

Great location with amazing sea views, nice friendly bar, plenty of parking on site and easy to find

The room was very dated with furniture from the 50,s.Room located above bar so you have the noise impact until bar closing.

It was in a convenient location near the ferry terminal the price was cheap compared to other locations,so I likely got what I paid for.Breakfast was included but as it did not start until 8am,I left before breakfast commenced.

The hotel is in need of upgrading with the furnishings in need of renewing. I have mentioned before that the single rooms bedding could be improved by replacing the single bed sized duvet with a double and renewing the pillows. I have found the staff to be cheerful and helpful in all my visits but again their appearance could be improved upon by the provision of a uniform of some description.

Great location with fantastic views out over Oban bay. I've stayed here several times before and the hotel is keenly priced and includes a decent cooked breakfast.

Room 12 was a sauna despite opening window and having fan on it was uncomfortably warm, inside decor is a bit tired looking could do with a bit of tlc, light in shower room not very bright.

Nice breakfast, good location, shower was lovely and warm, bed comfortable. Lady serving breakfast was very busy but very cheerful.

Cooked Breakfast was nice , lots of choice plenty to eat if you wanted , good value , bacon was super, staff who waited on tables were welcoming and friendly one morning we were out early for a trip and lady on reception arranged for bacon rolls and bottles of water for us to collect. Staff were very friendly and helpful We had a Seaview room overlooking bay and the windows opened out properly, a superb view for watching boats and sunset, Nice cotton sheets on beds

The mattresses now need to be replaced. Not sure if that applies to all rooms.

It's a cheap stopover for the islands. Have stayed on a number of occasions. It's in a great location on the waterfront.

Ok to sleep in but wouldn't go more than that. Very dated.
    • Leisure trip

Although the room was clean it could do with a proper redecoration not the slap dash attempt that makes it worse, very dated other than bed that looked modern we had 2 dining chairs and a table bed that was used for tea/coffee making machine. The plug sockets could do with being made more accessible as in the skirting boards either side of the bed one side you need to negotiate the small beside table on the wall to get to it. Not very safe as needed to put the kettle on the floor to make tea and coffee. The public areas are very dated hotch potch of furniture with a lot of ware and tare.

The location is great, on the sea front and within walking distance of the town. Nice quiet location it's a real shame that the property is very dated and not worth the price we paid (taking advantage of the location)

Its from the past, a time machine, not just dated but genuine historical artefacts are present...which would have been kinda fun if it wasnt for the price of the room.

Location is good. I could have slept on a pile of bricks so the bed was comfortable for me.

The room was tired and dated and in need of serious upgrading. (Not just a lick of paint) The shower facilities were obviously fitted in the seventies and in the smallest space possible. The room was very cold and the oil filled radiator was inadequate for the room size.

Sea view and it had a bed. We were sheltered from the bad weather. Ok for the reasons above but any more than a night of refuge then it would be very disappiinting.

Tired looking, indifferent furnishings and decoration especially the bedrooms and shower. Sink in the bedroom instead of the toilet/shower room. Too late check-in and too early check-out times.

Great location and views, cleanliness, comfortable bed, polite staff, nicely presented good breakfast choices, value for money meals, parking available on premises.
