Hotel needs a massive renovation and upgrade to current age standards. Looks as it it has not been renovated since it was build, many years ago.

The staff was nice and welcoming.

The building is really old, and it would take a fortune to bring up to modern times. The furniture very dated. Old sink taps that don’t work well. Decoration very poor.

The staff were lovely. All very helpful. The breakfast was exactly what was ordered, very well cooked . The bedding was clean and also plenty of clean towels. All the staff appeared to be working hard.

The property exterior was a bit run down and corridors and room doors looked a bit tired.

Great view from the hotel bar, v friendly helpful staff. Food and drink v good value for money. Room was comfortable and shower was good and reliable

Bed extremely hard - previous guests clothes in cupboard - but host was clear - no frills. Breakfast was great - staff very pleasant and friendly. Great location - easy to walk into town.

Knew it was old but was very disappointed the condition of carpets and unkempt decor. Our room No 12 was above boiler room and very small I would say a health hazard. Bathroom was badly in need of refurbishment basin taps were hard to manage, dull lighting and floor and toilet looked as if they were not cleaned properly. Didn't expect hotel to be 5 star but would find it hard to give it 2 stars. Sorry didn't take photos. I would have complained but my husband said we wouldn't return or recommend to anyone. Got same response from couple of guests we spoke to felt the same as us.

Reception on arrival covered all necessary points Staff were lovely and very helpful breakfast was good and served promptly. Very friendly staff.

There seemed to be a bit of a mix up about breakfast times one of the nights we stayed. Hotel a bit tired looking and cluttered but thats just personal choice, you could see improvements were in process. But a great two days there.

Fabulous view from our room, friendly staff, lovely breakfast and comfortable bed. Nice and clean, Nice lounge area on entrance.

My friend said her bed was springy and uncomfortable, so after the first night she got extra blankets from staff and she lay them on the bed and then lay on the bed, so that was better. I found the bed fine.

The staff were very helpful as always, and the breakfast was pleasant. Great location.

The shower was a prefabricated cubicle and very small and the water pressure was very slow.

Bed wasn't that comfy. In the restroom there weren't any room to put toiletries and such.

Great location, close to town centre. Parking spaces free of charge. Big and spacious room. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Was difficult carrying suitcases to the room - I left something behind and although they had my contact details did not let me know and had long journey back on train to collect

Room smelled of damp, bunk beds were unstable. All bedding smelled damp. Dirty cup and spoon left beside kettle. Toilet didn’t flush properly, ceiling looked as if it could fall in at any time. Decor was very dated.

Beautiful scenery is to be seen - the sea is so near! And there are to both sides beautiful walks.

The hotel room we stayed in is in need of reburbishment.

The breakfast was excellent, especially ordering the day before. It was ready for your allocated time. Excellent idea.
