badly needs decorating & deep clean.

staff freindly great location however hotel dated needs freshened up even a coat of paint would make such a difference. The room we were in smelt of stale smoke so bad we had to buy a scented candle.

Shower was very small and not very powerful, Power socket next to bed was loose, T.V. was poor quality - contrast was poor, WiFi unavailable in rooms

Staff , character , old and neglected but what I expected. V friendly helpful staff. Don’t expect modern luxury but character and good location . Dog friendly . Friendly basic bar. Long May hotels like this exist in a tyranny of homogeneous budget hotels

The staff particularly the receptionist were exceptional.

Hotel dated. Doors shut at 11pm unable to gt in afterwards unless paid extra 5£ for key. Room had clothes someone had left from a previous stay in cupboard.

Quaint comfortable friendly hotel with everything I needed for a short break in Oban . Great location for the Corran Halls and the waterfront views . Not for those that want modern sterile hotels. This one is old and characterful .

Hotel is very (very) dated and maybe not to everyone's tastes or expectations, but for the price and all the positive points is well worth it

The bedroom decor was tired and corridors had noisy floors which resulted in disturbed sleep. Wi-Fi in the bedroom was intermittent.

The hotel is in dire need of a major update. Last decorated in the 1970's and everything is just worn out. Even a 2 star property should be of a serviceable standard.

hotel needs some serious updating - most uncomfortable mattress in the UK, the hotels needs a general update, not the building just the furnishings inside and definitely the beds, super uncomfortable

The television wasn't working and the room was a little prone to noise from the traffic. The shower was a little light.

We had dog friendly accommodation with the facilities which we expected, including a good breakfast. The staff were very hospitable.

The room was a little too small for a double and rather claustrophobic. Basin taps need attention as they were difficult to turn off. Although there was Wi-Fi in the hotel the signal was too weak in our room to access anything online which was a major disappointment.

Bed linen seen better days and pillows need replacing.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was adequate. For a one night stay with friends on motorbikes it does all you need.

Bath towels smelt musty, pillows lumpy and/or flat . Stayed there a few years ago but had hoped it might have been better now. Having said that, I just wanted the basic needs for a couple of nights, and I already knew there was a noisy bar below so I didn't expect too much anyway .
