While the very dated decor is cute and fun for 1 night - the beds are by far the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced. I didnt get a wink of sleep and neither did my colleagues. The bed folded in half as I got in it and felt like I was sleeping on a bag of potatoes. Never again.

Location is perfect for a trip to Oban - close to local bars, restaurants etc. Staff are lovely. Free on site parking a plus

Mould in bathroom. Tv not working properly bed was horrible and how ever lovely the people were who own it…. The lady that served us breakfast had Pet hair all over her sweatshirt..

The hotel itself has seen far better days. The rooms advertised are not the rooms we got. The yellow painted ceiling is probably hiding smokes marks from years ago. where white paint won’t cover it.. old and run down. Hotel is extremely noisy at night with the bar underneath not recommended for families with young children at all. Last night we returned to find the police there.

I liked everything, especially the brilliant sunsets where the whole sky, bay and street turned red. Never seen anything quite so great.

This hotel is amazing. I highly recommend the whole experience. The food was fresh, the staff friendly the place was kept spotless and welcoming - but it was the decor that I loved the most. It was like going back into the 70s and so endearing that it reminded me of my grandmother. The solid wood furniture, comfy beds, bakelite units and 'Tardis-like' showers (my kids would have loved the showers when they were small and Dr Who fans) were gleaming like new and a pleasure to see and use in these environmentally friendly days when we are trying to save the earth. I mean, anyway, who wants to pay more to stay at an unnecessarily updated hotel with modern, disposable. lightweight furniture and fittings? I loved it and loved the location. I loved the price and food. Very pleasant exceptional-quality bargain where you are treated with utmost respect and care and can get on with enjoying your stay.

Nothing. I’d just suggest taking earplugs. Not saying it’s overly noisy but it’s not quiet

I really didn’t expect much of the hotel due to the reviews but I think they were unfair. Yes it’s dated but I loved it! The location was perfect, the room was clean and comfy. I only had breakfast one morning and that was fine too. I’d definitely stay here again. It had everything I needed and exceeded my expectations

I could not complain about the breakfast, there was plenty of variety of stuff to eat and you got plenty to eat and drink. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and tidy a real home from home

The hotel has an old timer design and furniture. I particularly like places with a touch of history rather than being in the last modern soulless room. Loved the views. You can't beat it. Comfortable beds. Cosy in general.

Very dated facility. Whole place needs total re modernised. Lights didn’t work, room smelt and wasn’t fresh, bath was old and dirty. Bar unwelcoming to spend time in it!

This hotel has not been renovated for decades. It is like being in the 1950s and not in a good way. They have a lovely location but it is really disappointing to look at the ocean while being served frozen fish. They are charging a lot but not putting it into refurbishing the guest areas. It dark and depressing.

The hotel was run down and shabby, the staff were miserable, even telling us not to use booking.com and to call them direct. The curtains in the snooker room were hanging by a thread and the place smells disgusting.

The breakfast was the only thing that was OK,, and the girl serving was lovely.

Everything , no reception for tv, no sockets ,cheap beds and broken , not clean , needs an overhaul . Definitely not recommend . Had to ask for loo rolls t bags even then not given enough .

The hotel was extremely dated. The furniture looked like it was from the 80's. Simple things could have been improved eg the back of the main door had obviously had a mirror removed but not repainted to remove the marks. The bathroom door was broken at the bottom . Our bathroom had mould on the ceiling and behind the toilet.

The view was fantastic.
