the property in itself is amazing it was possibly the location that was abit far out great that there is a train station near by on pulling up to the property on a few occasions there were some undesirable people who seemed to be on drugs stumbling about in the street we saw a few so maybe there’s a hostel near by but this didn’t put us off this amazing property and will definitely book here again

Very simple directions to find it would help. (Sat nav signal not good). EG "Facing the station go to your right down the hill. Almost immediately go under the railway bridge and you are in the actual street of the property."

Calm and quiet location Impeccably clean, bright, and quiet accommodation. The whole place has a welcoming, light, airy feel that was both calming and energising. This is not a luxury staffed hotel, but it is very comfortable and I had everything I needed. The entry system was efficient and easy. The room and separate shower room were spotless. The kitchen area was spotless and stylish. There was on street parking.

Nic and her colleagues just great. Really helpful friendly and professional about providing a great and relaxed guest stay. The rooms are lovely clean and fresh with such attention to detail. The complimentary breakfast stash had great choice and quality. One of the best places weve stayed on a few days away. Def be booking again

We couldn't think of anything we didn't like except parking on the street which is not something that could be changed.

I loved the architecture of the house from the outside. I really liked the eclectic and quirky decorating style. Plus it was really nice to have food available and kitchen facilities. We didn't need dinner and had a couple of pieces of toast and coffee which was available in the kitchen. There was a very comfortable bed in the badger room and nice bathroom. We liked meeting up with the other guests. When we arrived we had a query about parking which was quickly answered. On the day we left we had a query which was also quickly answered.

I shared a bathroom. I knew this when I booked, so not a problem. But I was woken up early by other guests getting up and using the bathroom and leaving (6 - 7 am) each day. I think they must have stayed for work. Maybe it would be better if work guests could be in the downstairs guest rooms?

I enjoyed the stay. The room was comfortable and the facilities very clean. The single bed was comfy and there was tea & coffee facilities in the room. There was a sink in the room and TV. The self-service continental breakfast was ideal for me. Great shower.

didn’t have parking, had to park on the street. probably wouldn’t have parking space if it was in a busier month

it was located on a quiet street. it was very comfortable, had everything you needed for a short or long stay. it felt like you’re at home.

This only applies for those using a car - there may be a bit of walk required to find car parking, especially as the closest public parking is the train station cark park/past the town centre. Otherwise, the hotel is easy to get to by public transport, being 5~ minutes away from the station (line of sight in fact looking down from the station bridge.)

I have stayed a few times at Lansdowne Simply Stay and I can say that it's definitely value for money. The room was comfortably furnished with plenty of storage space, a comfortable bed, and the shared bathrooms are always spotlessly clean. One reason I have stayed at here, in particular, is due to how close it is to the town centre and to the train station, it being minutes away from both.

The room was very comfortable. Shower facilities excellent. Good kitchen facilities. Staff very helpful and very friendly. Lansdowne is only 5-10 minutes walk from town centre so very handy. Great views from the hotel.

The gate to enter the property was a bit stiff to open.

Room was comfortably furnished with plenty of storage space, and with some very stylish decor. The building was easy to find from the train station and is not far from the center of the town, where there are plenty of shops.

Poor choice at breakfast. Just boring cereal and bread and pastries. Nothing of interest. Had to buy own breakfast ingredients on some occasions. Lacking some of the basic kitchen utensils too

We have a 7 month old. Would have been to good to have a high chair for dinner and breakfast time, but thats a small point and nothing to give any negative credit for.

Breakfast was good with a large selection of cereals and milks and pastries on offer. We bought our own eggs etc and were more than happy to cook for ourselves in a very practical kitchen area. Lots of utensils, wine glasses basically everything you would have in your own kitchen.
