Only one minor point. It would have been good to have had the room made up ahead of the 2nd nights stay, replenishing tea/coffee etc

The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and well presented. The staff were all very pleasant and the room was very clean with a decent shower. Ideal for a short stay.

Nothing really, though I would have liked a mini fridge in the room, but that's nit-picking really.

Comfortable room with tea making facilities. Quiet efficient service, friendly staff and good breakfast. Bar and restaurant well supported by local population. Great garden. A good pub feel to the bar and do book a meal in the restaurant. We'll be back.

Only point was that the bar and restaurant shut on Mondays. Another time, we'll avoid a Monday night stay! But would love to stay again.

If arriving on a Monday, the restaurant and bar are closed, not a complaint as everyone needs a day off per week, but it necessitates travel to Trowbridge (1.7 miles)for dinner. However taxis are readily available. Or you can walk!

Excellent breakfast, cooked to order from the previous evening. Helpful staff. Gurkha restaurant delicious Nepalese food in the evening. Nearby pleasant walks . Good car park. Situated in the village of Hilperton, mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1036.

Twin room for my daughter and myself, spacious, comfy, beds were soft and lovely, very peaceful. They helped carry the suitcases in etc first class service from staff very friendly

I am 5’ 2’’ and had to stand on tip toe to see all of my face in the mirror so having it a bit lower would help. We stayed for 2 nights and the room, as is usual since covid, wasn’t serviced. I’m quite happy with this but I think the hospitality tray needs to be changed daily. These are minor details that are easily put right and certainly didn’t put us off from booking again.

The room was really lovely and, although it faced the road, it was quiet with not much traffic. We ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. The host was really welcoming and friendly. We are back in Trowbridge soon and have booked another stay.

The location was excellent- only a 7 minute drive from Trowbridge and plenty of free parking on site. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The cleanliness of the room was excellent . I would definitely stay there again.

Room was clean and tidy but a little tired, ok for the price paid. Unfortunately when we visited internet was down which affected the TV and phone use.

Staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble, food was exceptional, best Indian/ghurka food I have had in years.

The bathroom and shower could use some updating. Narrow staircase a bit tricky with a heavy suitcase, but we managed.

The room was tidy and comfortable, and the restaurant and bar noise was quiet after 9PM. Food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. A lively spot for a drink and dinner. Parking was easy and plenty of spots when we stayed. Staff was very friendly.
