The Hotel is being refurbished which is great as it is rather tired at the moment. Only a rather uncomfortable seat to sit on in the room. No glass/tumbler in the room, though the staff member was more than happy to find one for me. Wasn't as sound proofed as I'd hoped.

Parking is right behind the Hotel so that was nice and easy once I'd worked out that that was where to park - it's not too clear, a bigger sign saying it's the Hotel Parking would be good. Staff very nice, welcoming & helpful. Wi-fi was excellent & the Hotel has character & nice areas to relax in.

Undergoing a refurb basically you just get the room No bar no food no breakfast no 24/7 room service. Would have been nice to have known before booking

The hotel was going through a refurbishment. We felt that it should have waited to open until fully completed. The carpet on the stairs was dangerous to walk on. The bath didn't have a safety mat. The toilet roll holder was held together with sellotape. There were 2 single mattresses making the bed uncomfortable for a couple.

The fact that you can hop on a train to get to Windsor . The staff were very polite and happy to help.

The room decor is dated and the corridors are narrow with a lot of short flights of steps. It is still a work in progress in transforming some of the ancillary facilities- there is currently no operational bar or breakfast for example.

The desk staff were excellent. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The location is great and there is a small car park immediately adjacent to the hotel. Local shops are very easy to access, as is the train station. Although under the airport flight path, it was not noisy.

Room was a little cramped as a twin, but okay as I was on my own. The addition of a fan in the room was helpful given the summer heat.

I didn't appreciate the smell of smoke in the corridor, mold on a towel and a pillow, and the bathroom floor having white debris on it.

I liked how relaxing the room was. The linnen bedding was comfortable. I liked having plenty of towels and a balcony for fresh air.

We booked into the hotel only to be told on arrival it had been taken over by the home office. So we would be staying in a room in a cottage down the road. Really poor security in the cottage and non existent fire safety . Also very smelly and dirty

The property was 5 minute walk away from Datchet train station. Great location for visiting Windsor, which is also a 5 minute train journey away.

A character hotel and I had a particularly lovely room looking out over pretty Datchet Village. A bath which had great supply of hot water. Nice little heater provided. Good towels. Nice lighting and a comfy sofa too! Staff are so kind and helpful.

Young gentleman was really helpful when our TV wouldn't work. Location is nice.. we had a balcony which was really spacious and nice views. Fridge in the room

The rooms were nothing like advertised, there was only one bedside lamp, no toilet rolls in the room and a bath with a do not use sign on. It was very cold and there was no heating on- it’s an old building and the windows are old letting in the cold.

Very tired property. Carpets, decor, bathrooms all very tatty and dated. Nothing of quality about this hotel. Car parking was full, restaurant and bar closed for refurbishment but not mentioned on the site. Certainly not worth the night rate. Will not be rebooking!

Jane was perfect host, very welcoming. Breakfast was hot and very good. Lots of sockets, mirror everything I needed Location is perfect right opposite beach and quiet in the evenings away from the noise but close to walk
