Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing (apart from 2 letters missing from the Scrabble!!)
Absolutely everything! The yurt is charming and so cosy with the wood burner keeping us really snug, even in December! Every little detail was carefully thought through to make it a delightful stay. The hosts were amazing, lending us wellies as ours weren’t man enough for the muddy lane! We will be back!

United KingdomThe yurt seemed like it needed some TLC, hence why we were upgraded. The front door was so swollen it wouldn't close properly, and the lines could have been tighter (lots of flapping noises) to the point where the yurt opened up a bit around the flooring. Saying that, there was exceptionality bad weather, this was probably the main issue as things may have loosened up during the night because of the awful weather.
Loved the location, and staff here were very accommodating considering the bad weather. We were upgraded to a mobile home due to the unusually bad weather. The home was clean and had everything needed, including heaters in every room and wi-fi.The hosts are lovely and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. Enjoyed the option to walk around the farm and help feed the calves. We are already planning our next visit to come back as soon as we can!

United KingdomCan’t think of any ways my stay could have been improved upon, this is after all a no frills back to nature break for people who love and enjoy the countryside and enjoy the peace and solitude it provides.
Superb back to nature break in this yurt, everything you could need is included and spotlessly clean. Super comfortable bed, great shower and washing facilities. The hosts Richard and Sam could not have been friendlier and left you alone to enjoy your stay but were always available if needed. Wonderful location with scenery to die for, remote but just a short walk into Colyton.

This is one of those places that make you want to stay much longer. A beautiful Mongolian yurt with view over the Devonshire hillside. Everything you need for your stay is thoughtfully provided. When the small wood burning stove is lit the yurt is wonderfully cosy. We soon forgot our plans and relaxed into yurt life. There's a short walk to the local town of Colyton and medieval market town with beautiful church and a few shops, pubs and cafes. The south coast with beaches at Seaton/ Beer/ Lyme Regis is a short drive away so perfect as a base to visit from. If you've ever wondered what it's like to sleep in a yurt this is the perfect place to experience it

United KingdomOnly few small details really, otherwise everything was so nice. We were missing basic spices such as salt & pepper. It's in nature so as expected, there were some (massive) spiders around, and a few hornets too, so just something to consider - if you can't handle these, you wouldn't enjoy the stay haha. Dogs barking in near distance (what seemed as from a farm across the fields), even inside the yurt you can still hear them at night or early morning. Also some "smell of home" as a working farm with plenty cows.
Remote location in the middle of fields on a working farm, spacious yurt with standalone outdoor kitchen facilities and standalone shower & toilet - working well. Well equipped, cute details (such as local biscuits or cider provided, slippers, robes...) Lovely owner. Plenty wildlife around and friendly cats. The walk to yurt takes few minutes and is nice in good weather which we were lucky enough to have, also conveniently they provided wheelbarrow to put our luggage onto so we don't have to carry everything.

United Kingdomthis is a difficult one because you have to take into consider our break was in a yurt in September with specific facilities so this is a question we can’t answer.
location was very quiet, in the middle of nowhere which suited us perfectly. The yurt itself was fantastic, the wood burner kept the place super cosy even on chilly mornings. the bed was so comfortable.

United KingdomThe instructions sent were clear and detailed thanks, but a sign to show which parking space to use and an arrow to point you in direction of would help as it is a fair walk from car to yurt.,
We liked the remoteness of the yurt, and plenty of wildlife to see. It was well equipped, cosy and extra things were available if needed, umbrella, games etc. It was an unusual and very memorable experience.

United KingdomMost of all we loved the privacy and the peace. The yurt is located away from the road and other buildings, and so was completely silent, apart from the sounds of nature. The bed was very comfortable having a memory foam mattress and the wood burner was a welcome addition to a cozy evening. We will definitely be staying again as soon as we are able. A home away from home. We were sorry to leave.
