Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bit expensive for what it was.
The restaurant/bar was very nice, good food and nice staff. The room was cozy but a bit outdated. Still got the job done though.

Noisy air conditioning which was annoying at night.
Location was perfect. Within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall and Museums and shops, good selection of local bars restaurants and tube right on the doorstep. Staff extremely obliging, helpful and courteous. Rooms huge. Bed super comfy.

The view of our room was awful. We were on the 2nd floor and our view is back of the hotel kitchen. All we saw was dumsters.
The location of the hotel is great. Only 1 minute walk to the tube station. There are plenty of fast food and regular restaurants, supermarkets & bakeries close to the hotel. We didn't get breakfast from the hotel since there were great options around. Our room was big enough for 3 people & clean.

Nothing that I could see.
Great location, rooms so spacious, great bed, comfy pillow's and relaxing atmosphere. The bar and facilities looked great , it was a quick trip so we didn't get much chance to use the facilities, but would definitely return.

Our room on the 8th floor was really spacious and served us well. Unfortunately, the pillows were very hard, and there were no softer ones available. Extras were kindly brought in, but were just the same. Poorly slept several nights.

On this occasion House keeping was poor. We left clean room sign outside . Returning to the hotel between 4/5 on 3 occasions we unfortunately had ti call to get room cleaned

Too skimpy on amenities at this price. No tissues, lotion, conditioner, slippers or bathrobe. Just soap and toilet paper. The fact that there was a tissue dispenser but no tissues provided suggests that the hotel was once grander but now in decline.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Location is excellent. Kettle and coffee/ tea were very useful.

We had a very enjoyable stay on a family trip to London. The Hotel was high quality and very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very welcoming. The price was also very reasonable. The Hotel is well situated next to Gloucester Road tube station and is walking distance from the Natural history and Science Museums which was perfect for us.

I would add some small things such as a box of napkins, some comfort items of very little cost such as a kettle and a few instant coffe/tea sachets
