Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Its a real shame that the unbelievably busy and poor quality breakfast buffet and the rude reception and restaurant staff let this place down. I would 100% book this hotel again for business or leisure, but I would keep my interaction with staff to just whats needed at check -in and get myself a cheaper and altogether MUCH better breakfast at one of the many local eateries!

Breakfast buffet mediocre, Full English from Buffet just isn't the same. Lift system had a mind of its own. First you had to run to the correct one before it was too late. Or it took you to your floor, didn't let you out and took you down again. Or passed by your floor up and down. Yes this all happened within 24 hours!

The room was a little too warm for me and I could hear everyone talking cause I was on a lower floor. The water when I showered was cold and I couldn’t get any hot water.
It was in a great location, the staff was so friendly and it was super clean.

Electricity is not very good, in the case of charging and sockets. Very slow charging bar.
Friendly staffs and services. Soon we arrived the room staff phoned to confirm if we like the room or if there were anything we concern.

There is nothing I didn't like about my stay, this is the second time I have stayed there.
Room was large, comfortable and very clean. Facilities are very good with onsite parking. Breakfast had good choices of hot and cold options, dining room spacious and clean. All staff we interacted with were polite and helpful.

Traffic noise at night due to the location near a busy road so possibly could do with thicker windows or bring ear plugs.
Great location next to Gloucester Road Station and nice area. Good facilities and nice breakfast. Well decorated.

We had a pretty basic room, the room itself was as nice but the bathroom was pretty shabby, you can see it’s in need of updated. The floor tiles were cracked and you can see where things have been dropped and marked the floor and the wooden panel in front of the stink was marked. The windows were dirty with black round the seals. Also with the breakfast I did make a member of staff aware that the pork sausages were a little too pink in my opinion and others must have felt the same as I saw a few people picking through the sausages.
The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, check in and checkout was smooth and quick. I paid for Birthday decorations and champagne and it did not disappoint, there was balloons and banners and glitter and even left a birthday card and a cheesecake which was lovely. The beds were lovely and comfy and nice big tv to enjoy! We had an evening meal in the bar which was lovely, great choice on the menu for adults and children. Breakfast was lovely too, great range of food to chose from.
