Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandOur room had a carpet that smelled very bad and it was wet when we arrived in the room .. The air conditioning was way too efficient which made the room cold and windy. Our room was in the direction of the airport so the noise of the planes every night until 12 was loud!
The hotel had a good and peaceful atmosphere. The lobby and common areas were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The room was big and the bed was big and comfortable. Paying attention to the children will give the hotel an extra plus !! The food in the hotel bar was surprisingly good!

United KingdomHad an issue first day with our plug sockets not working in one room and the only extension leads the hotel had were for American plugs.
Stayed for MCM London and were 2 stops away on the DLR. Good value for money! Staff were lovely! We had some issue with other guests and they were very attentive about it. Good sized beds and enjoyed having a big mirror in the bathroom. The automatic doors are also really cool and handy.

Warm, vibrant public spaces. Perfect for staying up late with a drink or two, messing about in informal setting as not too much to do in the outside area this side of Excel

United KingdomThe breakfast experience was poor. The staff appeared to be unorganised and did not replace plates, and cutlery as well as food items. It appeared they either had limited stock of food so once things had gone that was it or they didn't realise things were empty
The room was clean and spacious and double glazing sound proof to prevent the noise of the planes from London airport. The reception area offered a place to relax as well as play the board games and table.football and pool on offer

United Kingdomall okay, staff was not very happy and only 1 person on the main desk/bar, so had to wait to be served longer than normal. not much choice of breakfast for the cost, not much food choice especially when there is nothing local when you have children.

United KingdomThe room and bathroom are both small, no desk space, hardly any storage space, and nowhere to put anything. The rooms look a bit worn out for what is a an almost new hotel. It’s part of the Marriott chain but lacks the facilities expected at a Marriott. Paper cups in the room is cheap and tacky. Bathroom amenities very basic.
The hotel is easy to reach by DLR and convenient for Excel and the airport. Room was clean and functional.

United KingdomWish the taps were buffed after being cleaned. Buffing the taps helps with the streaks that chemicals leave after cleaning. Some roll or a cloth will make them shine a lot better, can help stop the chemical streak build up over time which would be harder to get off. Couldn't find a bag for the bin in the bathroom.
Very nice, the lighting in the rooms were cool. Food was nice, aswell as the drinks. Pillows were lovely and soft.

United KingdomOnly slight problem was storage for our clothes (small hanger hooks on wall) and the room got a little cool at night and there was no way to warm it up (no heating or at least we couldn’t work out a way).
We loved the style of the hotel. The room was a great size for the two of us. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning actually worked (so many hotels don’t have working machines)! The little added touches like the free welcome drinks and personalised TV message made it extra special. We would definitely return!

United KingdomNo bins to put rubbish in in the bedrooms, one plug on one side of the bed and not the other. Mattress was like a water bed moves everytimes you swap sides. No signal for Internet and cannot watch telly because of no signal
Peaceful and relaxing environment. Have board games you can play in the lobby with snooker table and football table.

United KingdomThe only advice i would have is sometimes the wifi was a bit slow while connecting to the TV through casting, Other than that everything went above and beyond in all areas.
Loved the room really nice and also cleaned everytday by the housekeeping team. The location is handy as i was over for comic con and it is only a short walk towards the Excel centre for a great price. The Breakfast is also really good as there is a wide variety of options between a cooked breakfast, Cereal, Fruit and much more. There is also a wide selection of alcohol and soft drinks with the option of cocktails as well. The staff are all friendly and approachable which makes the process of staying at the hotel a 5 star experience. Will be back again
