Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe women at reception wasn’t listening to word I was saying when I was trying to ask her for a room key. The next day when I went back after extending my stay I told her my room key wasn’t working and if she could fix it. She just took my key and carried on doing what she was doing. After almost 5 minutes of me just standing I asked again if she could do it for me and she just the key on the counter - didn’t look at me or say a word. Also the people next door were so loud which I found to be unfair because when I was ‘too loud’ security came INSIDE my room and searched the room accusing me and my boyfriend of having a party and hiding people in our room (we were sleeping)

United KingdomNoise from room above, staff at reception/breakfast/bar area not well trained, I had advised of food allergy gluten and lactose, staff not knowledgeable with regards to which food was suitable at the buffet breakfast, no labels on anything, not impressed with blasé attitude, staff member waving her hand across various items, saying " I think these are ok" I had to point out that if she wasn't sure, it would make me sick 🙄
Clean room, facilities in room good.

NetherlandsThe service was very bad. Whenever we asked questions to the staff members, they looked at us as if they were annoyed. Other than that and the fact that almost all hotels in London are waaaay too overpriced, the hotel itself was decent though.

United KingdomService dreadful - slow, minimal staff, no apologies for delays, huge waiting times on simple food. Frustrating after a long day of travelling. Shower door in bathroom didn't work - kept coming open unless it was held shut the whole time.

IrelandIt's a bit of a trek into the city: as much as the DLR is around the corner; but that's London for you. The area around the hotel is barren: no shops or anything. There is a Sainsburys Express about a 5 min drive across the river. Costs about £7 in an Uber. You get what you pay for: it's relatively no frills and has an upmarket hostel vibe. One major downside for us was the undesirable clientele in the hotel bar at night. Whether this was a once off or not we don't know, but there was a gang of youths coming in and out with zero acknowledgement from staff on our first night. It felt really shady. It isn't the kind of bar you would like to relax for the evening in, which was a pity for us as the hotel is just so far from everything.
The rooms are surprisingly spacious for a London city hotel. They are practically soundproof; so after a long day sightseeing in the city, it was an absolute sensory deprived haven! The lights under the bed everyone talks about literally last 10 seconds and are not bright enough to disturb you! The beds are soft, shower pressure is great, liquid soap in the bathrooms! Breakfast was decent; continental style mostly. The one thing I would say is there could be an extra coffee machine. The bar was relatively well stocked. It's a 2 minute walk from the DLR and right across the water from London City Airport. Highly recommend taking a 5 minute Uber across the river to Windjammer for dinner and chilled vibes; it was a major highlight of our trip and the perfect tonic after a busy day in the city centre.

United KingdomFalse advertising as presented as a really different hotel only to be told upon arrival that the images of the rooms and reception were only to promote the hotel! We found pubic hairs on shower floor - the room windows had face imprints and floor stained with who knows what. Loud banging kept us awake - so no sleep at all. Had the look and feel of a Hostel not a hotel -never again. Bathroom/toilet is so claustrophobic.
The television and lights were modern.

United Kingdomconsidering how much we paid for the room, we had one tea and one coffee each and only enough milk for one drink. staff were not particularly helpful on check-in, didn’t show where lift was or the floor I was on or that I needed to use my keycard in the lift, I just had to figure it out for myself. small things like that go a long way in my opinion.

United KingdomRidiculous cost of simple items like a can of cola. With no shop near by. We actually went to a hotel next door and used the vending machine. Just made everything a bit stressful. A staff member was putting cutlery away in the bar area as I was checking out. She wiped her nose with her hand and then continued to put the clean cutlery away

United KingdomWe had occupants in the directly below playing the loudest music all night. It took 3 visits to reception and a phone call before any action was taken. We were kept awake until early hours of the morning only for it to begin again at 7:15am. The tv didn’t work-someone came up to look but couldn’t fix it! The shower would not point down so the head was straight therefore it had to be held. There’s no plug near the mirror so blow drying your hair is impossible if it needs a mirror. Only one plug beside Kingsize bed although it was for 2! Conditioner stuck to the walls of the shower. Mopping the floor at 11:30am therefore when my daughter went to the toilet on the ground floor she slipped and banged her back. Trains and planes constantly. It is the only 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in that had no guest control. It was absolutely disgusting to be charged anything for such a dreadful unrestful night that it took almost 3 hours to get someone to control. The bed also had a very noisy waterproof mattress protector that caused me to spend the 3 hours sleep I managed to be interrupted, hot and uncomfortable. I was with my child and it was a terrible experience. I will never stay there again!
The initial impression was good until we actually hit the room.
