The cost of the room is quite high. Not a complete privacy in the bathroom due to the door that cannot be closed appropriately.

Nothing really.Nicest hotel in Oxford we have stayed in so very little we didn’t like except the price. It’s expensive given size of rooms but they are extremely comfortable , the staff could not be nicer and the food is really good

Location / character and most of all staff.

It’s hard to think of anything I didn’t like

Quality of everything especially food and drinks. Building - especially the walled outside terrace to eat breakfast. Cocktail bar. Newspaper offering. Privacy. Parking.

there did not seem to be a resident's lounge, so nowhere comfortable to sit , only tables set up for dining staircase with doors difficult for carrying luggage rooms exceedingly expensive for what they are

the room, though not large, provided everything one might need as a base for a brief stay in Oxford kind cheerful staff coat hangers not fixed to the rail wonderful white cotton bedding duvet the correct weight soft pillows welcoming log fire in entrance excellent restaurant close to town

This is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff. We had a great meal in their grill restaurant, I had one of the best hot chocolates are returning from the theatre and a very enjoyable breakfast in the morning. The staff couldn’t have been any more friendly and welcoming.

Staff were fantastic. Great with allergies and menu, champagne in the library was a really lovely and welcome start to a very special place for my son and I to celebrate.

A superior hotel, all the staff were there to help at all times. Food was exceptional and overall it was just the attention to detail of looking after the customer that was a reminder of what good hotel service should be.

Shame the real fire has had to be replaced with a (good) replica

We try to come here each year for a pre-CHristmas treat and it never disappoints. The hotel is beautifully decorated, cosy and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable, breakfast delicious, and the highlight is a residents-only library where you can order coffee or drinks and browse the collection of books. Great location close to St Giles and Little Clarendon Street and a short walk into the centre

The only tiny thing that I would say, is the parking is very tight, if you have a big car, it gets very busy here, so you have to be careful. You can go to back of the parking area and drive down and come back up.

The Hotel was amazing, lovely decor, the room was very well laid out, clean and tidy, bed was so comfortable and bathroom was massive. Food and bar was excellent. We had the Ribeye steak with Chunky chips which was so good. So much choice on the menu and also they do afternoon tea, which also looked great. We had the English breakfast, which tasted so good too. Would highly recommend.
